Fourth Treatment   (July 2005)
6.29.05  Mimi's fourth (and last!) in this series of chemotherapy treatments
Back to Mimi Update
The allergic reaction started to come again, but we controlled it with a smaller dose of steroids.  (Could it be all the junk food Mimi eats during the actual chemotherapy?)   Once again though, the worst part was the migraines.  Otherwise, Mimi's energy (not to mention appetite) is quite good.
Mimi's Parents' Golden Anniversary
On July 3, we celebrated Mimi's parent's 50th Anniversary.  The kids (that is Mimi, Bob, Joe (in from Seattle), Maddy and David) hosted a party for the happy couple and 80 of their friends in David & Maddy's Palo Alto yard.  We surprised them with a klezmer band.
Yes, that's a wig under the hat.  It's actually looks like the style Mimi's hair stylest has been urging for a while- red highlights & more blow-drying!
Bob's Brother's Family Visits
7.8.05   You're not seeing double!  Bob's identical twin, Jim, wife Kathleen and daughters Hannah & Eden visit us for three fun-filled days on their "way" from their home in Cleveland to Costa Rica.   Among other things, they began teaching both Elana and Maya to ride their bikes without training wheels.  Stay posted!
7.9.05  Releasing butterflies Maya "raised" from tiny caterpillars.  Ii the girls are this happy, imagine how happy the buttterflies must be!
