This photo was probably taken around 1905 in England - actual location unknown.  It shows the family of Edwin and Sarah PAYNE who remained in England.  After Edwin's retirement from the Postmastership of the Aylesbury Post Office in 1897, he and Sarah regularly travelled between England and South Australia to see their families.

Back Row - Auntie Lou a friend of Rosa's, Walter son of Edwin and Sarah, Mary (nee ROSE) his wife, Edwin jnr son of Edwin and Sarah and Laurence his son aged about 12.

Front Row - Rosa daughter of Edwin and Sarah, Edwin (1838-1922), a little girl presumed to be the daughter of Edwin jnr, Sarah (1839-1928), Edwin son of Edwin jnr, Alice (nee SHARP) wife of Edwin jnr.
This photo was taken at Manor Cottage, Aylesbury around 1881/2 and shows the 3 last surviving 'children' of Philip and Ann PAYNE.

The three old people are from left - Philip PAYNE the younger, Ann Serena PLUMBE and Samuel PAYNE.

The three other women are not positively identified but believed to be Letitia GUNN on the left and Ann Serena THORPE on the right.
