Herring for four hundred acres and sold and conveyed to Bazel Kornegay the sherrif of Duplin County, the deed being dated the tenth of December, one thousand eight hundred and seven and by the said Bazel Kornegay conveyed to John Harris, Senior by deed bearing the date sixteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and nineteen, and divided by the last will and testament of the said John Harris, Sen to his seven daughters Penelope, Elizabeth, Nancy, Rachel, Sally, Susan and Edith, the said land being... bounded as follows viz... Beginning at the line in the edge of said Horse Pen Branch Thomas Hynes corner, and runs south 176 poles to a stake in an old line then along the same south 65 west 75 poles to a stake... then north 40 west 110 poles to a water oak on the side of branch then up the same as it meanders to the beginning, to have and to hold the aforesaid bargained promised with the... thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Elizabeth Harris, her heirs adn offspring forever and the said Susan Lilly do further covent and agree to and with the said Elizabeth Harris, her heirs and offspring forever the aforesaid bargained... promised unto said Elizabeth Harris, her heirs and offspring forever warrant and defend against the lawful claims of all persons whatsover in witness thereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of Susan (her) X (mark) Lilly and James Herring, Jr. Wayne County May term 1844.
