Sally Thompson was the third child of Thomas and Telitha Thompson. She was born in 1837 while the family was still in Orange County, North Carolina. In 1860, after the family had moved to Wayne County, Sally was still living at home with her parents. When her father's land in Wayne County was divided among his children after his death, she received her portion. She married Thomas Price. They had no children. In the 1870 Census she is listed as head of household. Her sister, Nancy Thompson Patterson, and Nancy's children were enumerated with her. In 1880 a Sarah Price was living in the household of Robert Wade. The census states that Sarah was the sister of the head of household. But as Sally did not die until 1884, and since Robert Wade was, by this time married to Nancy Thompson Patterson, Sally's sister, it is probable that the Sarah Price enumerated with this family was Sally Thompson.
