Millory’s Story
1983 April 26th it was a dark and stormy night it rain hit off the windows of a house in the Westend of Jense it stood alone no other houses around, nothing but tree’s and fields.
A family lived in the house. There was a flash of light in the distance. The father was in the military, and so was his wife and son but their daughter was too young too join the military yet.
That night the triplets were born.
Then a week later their dad and so was their son was at work, but his wife was watching the triplets. When the door was kicked down. It was the saurians, for when they would invade the planet. That would get rid of any military types.
They were forced to run for it. But they were trapped in an alley they couldn’t escape.
The leader laughed out, the lizard was large, his scales were blood red, his eyes were bright yellow at the family (minus the father and son). He wore a large purple cloak with armour under it.
It started to rain there was a flash of lighting and sound of thunder.
“Get them,” snarled the saurian.
The saurians approached them, getting closer and closer.
“Kimberly get your little sisters outta here know!” she cried.
“But mum…” started Kimberly.
“Know!” she ordered. But the younger one didn’t move she stood there staring at her mother.
“Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha! No one’s going anywhere,” snarled the saurian.
The saurians started to fire at them their mother was killed right in front of the younger one.
“MUM!!” cried Kimberly then the younger one of the triplets ran towards Kimberly and the others. Their mother lay still on the ground then lighting flashed then thunder came.
But the older one of the triplets stared into the eyes of the saurian coldly with her teeth gritted together.
“I’ll kill you bastard!” she spoke.
“Millory run KNOW!” yelled Kimberly.
Millory took off after her sisters stared coldly at the saurian by looking back. Then the saurians started to chase them firing at them they had to go into different directions. As they ran they lost track of each another.
The firing had stopped the saurians had disappeared.
Millory lay unconious all night, as she slowly opened her eyes light shined brightly in her eyes stinging them she blinked until she was used with the light. she slowly got up.
“Kimberly, Mellory, Mallory where are you?” she called.
She looked around taking in the sites of were she was, she came to the end of the alley and looked out to see she was in the city of Puckradic, the streets were full of citizens on ice skates and playing hockey.
She wondered the streets looking around.
“Where am I?” she muttered to herself
She stepped onto the ice just as a duck nearly knocked her down on ice skates and a hockey stick.
“Watch it KID!!” he yelled at Millory.
“Yeah same ta ya,” she growled under breath and got up. She wonder were she was but she knew that if anyone found out she was related to the McMallard’s they would kill her.
She came to an alley, looked in, and saw ducks playing ice hockey,
One of them were male quite tall brown feathers, wearing a IceEagles hockey Jersey. In his teen’s proberly around 14, then there was a female a bit shorter than him with brown feathers, wearing a Puckradic Firebirds Jersey.
She figured that they came from Southend of Puckworld.
The older one hit the puck but it bounced out of range and out of the alley hitting Millory in the face. Millory let out a scream and fell to the ground holding her face. The older one saw the young duck and skated off to her. “Hey kid are ya okay?” he bent down beside the duck. Millory let go of her face, looked at the duck and yelp, and ran off. “Yo kid wait up!” the duck skated after Millory.
“Yo! Bro wait up!” called a Female’s voice.
The duck finally caught up with Millory she was hiding, but he saw her she was scared. But when he got closer to her he noticed there was something else. “Aw Man! Gorse!” he backed off noticing what it was, it was body.
“What is it bro!” called the female.
“Don’t come in here Tina!” called the duck.
“Why?” asked the Female.
“Just don’t!” he bent down to grab the duckling but she moved back out of the way. “Come on kid.” Millory moved further back into the shadows. “Am not gonna hurt ya kid,” he finally grabbed her. She wriggled to get free but couldn’t. She looked at him with fear in her eyes. The duck saw that when the puck had made contact with her that it hit her eye it was bleeding heavily. He walked out of the alley with the young duck in his arms.
“Where’s her mother?” asked Tina
“I think that body in there was her mother’s,” replied the Duck.
“Do ya have a name?” asked the male reaching for Millory.
“Get away from me,” cried Millory by accident.
“Whoa the kid can speak,” said Tina in amazement.
“What ya name?” asked the duck.
“None of ya bizz Wax Fuck up!” growled Millory.
“Hmm she differently got spunk,” muttered the male rolling his eyes.
“Come on let’s get outta here,” said Tina. “Leave that kid there she’ll be nothin’ but trouble.”
“We can’t just leave her she just a kid, Tina her mother’s dead she has no one to turn to know,”
“But what will the blade say we can’t just take young duck at that age and expect her to be able to stay,”
“No Tina am not leaving her, she injured badly she could go blind am not letting that happen to her, like it happen to me.” he protested
“But Duke…” started Tina.
“No am not leaving her, Tina and that final,” he growled.
Millory looked up at the duck with puzzlement in her eye’s her head turned slightly to the side.
Later that night Millory sat in a room sitting on the window ledge looking out onto the city hail hit off the window and thunder and lighting cleared the sky of the darkness. She sighed deeply and jumped down and went down under a small bed and came back out and looked at piece of paper it was a picture of her little sister’s Mallory and Mellory and her big bro and sister, Alex and Kimberly, then jumped up to the window ledge and stared at the picture hard as a tear rolled down her face it dripped onto the picture.
Then the door creaked open as she looked up and saw Duke come into the room.
“Hey kid ya meant ta be in bed,” said Duke looking at the young duck up on the ledge then noticed the piece of paper. “What ya looking at?” Millory jumped down and put away the picture out of his sight. “Okay then, know ya better get some sleep kid,” he tucked Millory in. He watched the duck go to sleep, when he saw the piece of paper sticking out he took it and looked at he saw that a picture ‘It must be her family,’ he thought to himself then tucked it back under “Goodnight kid,” he said with a whisper and walked out of the room when the door creaked again but didn’t disturb her.
Duke walked down the corridor, when he bumped into Tina.
“Tina?” he exclaimed.
“Duke?” she blurted.
“Look see the kid,” started Duke.
“Yeah what about her?” replied Tina.
“I think she’s a McMallard,” he said.
“What?” choked Tina.
“Look McMallard has been dead know for 2 weeks now,” exclaimed Duke “But I think she might have three other sisters and an older brother.”
“Then that settles it we take her to her brother and sisters,”
“It’s not so easy,”
“What?”
“I mean she was separated from them the night her mother was killed, we don’t know where they could be,” he explained
7 years had passed it was dark night but very calm night it was, and so they kept Millory she was taught to use a sword use different tactics and a bit of martial arts.
“Duke,” called Millory as she ran toward him he lifted Millory up.
“Hey! Kiddo! What’s up?” he said putting her down.
“Duke are ya going take me out on the next heist!” asked Millory
“Well Duke ya did promise,” said Lilly with a grin.
“Eh! Sure Kid,” he replied.
“Yeah! Thanks Duke,” she ran off out of the door.
“Ya sure that’s this is wise she could like she could get hurt,” said Duke
“She’ll be fine if ya take care of her,” replied Lilly. “Ya went out on ya first heist at her age didn’t ya,”
“I guess so,”
Millory ran into her room and jumped onto the bed, she had never felt so happy tonight was the first time she would able to go out on the heist with the others. But then something in her mind flashed she remember her family her little twin sisters Mallory and Mellory were her younger part of her she wish to know if they would be alright, then there was her older brother and sister, Kimberly and Alex, she hardly knew Alex he was hardly around, and well Kimberly kept to herself really.
“Millory are ya ready,” Came Duke’s voice
“Yeah I’ll be there in a minute,” she replied as she jumped off the bed and crawled under her bed and took her sword and swung it over her shoulder.
“Hey kid come on,” greeted Duke.
They made their way down to the main hall were the other’s wait for them.
“Yo! Duke hurry up we’ve not got all night.” called Hunter.
“Shut it Hunter,” snarled Millory
“You know ya spoil that kid,” said Hunter sarcastically.
“Just leave her Hunter she just a kid,” protested Duke.
“Let’s go,” hurried Lilly.
Later at Puckworld jewellery centre they wait for right time to move.
Millory was about too run out when Duke pulled her back.
“Not yet kid wait for the signal,” he whispered
Then at the other side Liana gave the signal.
“Alright come on,” order Duke.
They all ran across but as soon Millory was about to run someone ran by and she ran back into the shadows.
“Millory,” whispered Duke.
“Look!” pointed Lilly.
“Shit!” he swore.
Millory pressed hard against the wall trying not to be seen, her heart as pounding hard it louder when she realised it a guard.
Waving around a torch. Then he went away around the corner and Millory bolted across to the others.
“Are ya okay?” asked Lilly.
“Yeah,” she swallowed then followed Lilly in the grate.
Followed by Duke.
“Keep going kid,” he pushed her on.
“Am going as fast as I can.” She growled.
“Just be quiet everyone.” ordered Lilly.
They remained quiet until they got their position.
“Okay kid we’re gonna’ tie ya to this rope right. And slowly lower you down okay,” explained Liana.
“Okay,” she replied.
They tied Millory onto the rope and slowly lowered it.
Millory saw the motion dectors Millory she carefully lifted the glass up, put it aside, and lifted out a huge jewel.
“Mmhh! Like taking candy from a baby heh! heh! ha! ha!” mused to herself. “Okay guy’s haul me up will ya,”
“Okay hang on kid,” replied Ringo.
They brought Millory back up.
“Great job kid, ya did it come on let’s get outta here,” ordered Duke.
“It was a piece of cake,” she said with a smirk as she pulled out from her pouch and tossed it to Duke.
“You know something your were better than Duke was when he was a kid,” said Lilly patting Millory on the back.
“Hey!” he protested as they came out of the grate.
“Let’s move guy’s,” ordered Liana.
When they got back to H.Q. the other members wait for them to come back.
“Well how it go!” asked Ruye.
“Great,” replied Hunter.
“Yeah I got it right here,” snickered Duke.
“No you don’t yar not getting all the credit for it,” snarled Millory as she pulled out the Jewel and spinned on her finger.
They all laughed at Duke, “Nice going kid,” laughed Elise as she took the Jewel off of Millory.
“Oh the great Duke L’Orange has been out smarted by a seven year old,” joked Ruye.
“Ha! Ha! Very funny Ruye,” he said bitterly
“Come on Duke don’t be a broken record.” Said Liana
Later that night Millory stared at the roof of the small room she was thinking to herself, as the door creaked open.
“Huh!” she muttered
“Hey kid,” replied Duke. “What ya doing?”
“Nothing,” she said Duke walked over to her side and sat beside her.
“Come on,”
“Fine well I was thinking about my family,”
“Your family?” questioned Duke confused.
“Yeah, all I no is that I’ve got Two Little sisters and big brother and sister,
I can’t even remember what happened to my parents, I wish I knew what happened to them,” she replied.
“You can’t remember what happened?” asked Duke.
“Nope, and you guy’s walked into my life and well took me in,” replied Millory.
“Ya want me to find out what happened,” asked Duke.
“I don’t know sometimes I want to know, but sometimes I think it’s better not to know,” replied Millory, as she leaned on Duke then a small tear slid down her beak and fell to the ground. Then Duke pulled her closer to him to keep her warm. Then he noticed she was asleep.
“Goodnight kid,” he stroked her hair and lifted her and onto the bed and tucked her in.
The years went on Millory was still young though she was in her early teens now. She got wilder and, wilder as she grew up. Running from the police and stuff. But they never caught her.
That night Millory was running from them sirens were blazing through the night as she ran like mad.
“UP YERS COPPERS!!” she yelled at them.
Then she ran into an alley the police cars blocked off the front.
“Ah! Shit!” she sneered.
“Hold it right there Mew!” called an officer.
She turned around.
“Your under arrest,” said another officer.
Then an evil smile came across her face she stared at the officers.
“IN YA DREAMS!!” she yelled and shot a grappling hook onto the roof of a block of flats and shot up.
“Open fire men!” called the officer in charge.
They started to fire at Millory. Then she felt sharp pain in her leg then she realised she had been shot, she made to the top, she felt the pain get worse it had really gone deep that she could hardly walk on it. She made it back to H.Q.
She walked down the hall towards the main room.
“Millory,” said Duke.
“Duke,” she replied, then she collasped to the floor.
“Millory are ya okay kid.” Then he noticed the wound on her leg it was deep it looked nasty there was a pool of blood around it in seconds. “Millory what happened.”
“I was chased…by the police they shot me,” she replied in pain then became motionless.
“Millory wake up kid, MILLORY,” he cried he shook her body to try and wake her but nothing happened. Then he looked for a pulse and found one but it was weak from the amount of blood she lost.
He picked her up and ran to the infirmary.
“What happened?” asked Lilly.
“She was chased by the police they got her in the leg, she’s lost a lot of blood by the looks of it.”
Later in the infirmary Millory lay on the bed and was start to wake.
“Mmmhhhh!” she groaned and slightly open her eyes to find bright light shining down in her eyes. Then someone turned it off.
“Hey kid are ya okay?” spoke Hunter.
“Yeah I guess so,” she replied.
“Don’t move to fast kid,” said Lilly. “Your leg is quiet bad, but it should heal.”
“I can walk. Lilly I’ll be fine,” she protested she slowly got up and limped off out of the infirmary.
“You know that kid is just too pushy sometimes,” growled Hunter.
“That just Millory fer ya,” replied Lilly. “She’ll proberly grow out of it.”
“Ya think.” Replied Hunter.
In the Main Room Duke, Liana, Ruye and Ringo stood in the middle of the room talking over for the next heist.
When Duke looked up to see Millory limping over.
“Hey kid, how ya daing,” called Duke.
“Okay I guess,” she replied “What ya doing?”
“Planning fer tomorrow nights heist,” replied Ruye.
Millory made it over, to the others and took a look at the plan.
“So where do I come,” she protested.
“Nowhere Milly, you’re stayin’ here your not going anywhere until your leg is better,” replied Ringo.
“You’re not my Father,” proclaimed Millory, crossing her arms with her teeth gritted and limped out of the room.
“Millory come back here,” yelled Duke.
“Get ta FUCK!” she replied.
Duke ran after her and pulled her back he turned her around.
“Milly what’s wrong with ya,” growled Duke.
“Nothing’s wrong,” she replied.
“Yes there is in what is it, why did you freak out there?”
“I don’t know RIGHT, right now I don’t feel right,”
“What do you mean don’t feel right?” he questioned.
“Never mind you wouldn’t understand,” she pulled away from duke and walked out.
“What’s up with her,” said Ringo.
“I don’t know she won’t tell me,” replied Duke.
Millory lay on her bed staring at the ceiling thinking she couldn’t stand it anymore she had to get out of here. She opened the window up a little and climb out of it down onto the street below, she knew there was nothing there for her.
The next day Duke went to check on Millory but he found she wasn’t there.
“Millory where are ya?!” he noticed that window had been opened. “Oh! No Millory,” he ran out the room and soon bumped into Lilly.
“Duke what is it,” she asked with a worried look.
“Millory’s gone, she’s ran away she not in her room,” he replied.
“Come on let find her then,” said Lilly.
Millory lay low out of sight she had stayed in a place called Jense out in the country away from the city. She climbed up a tree and woke up to find some rustling in the tree branch above. She looked up, the creature looked down at her then it climb up the tree higher when got to a branch it snapped, and she caught it.
She then realised it was a RuckRacoon she cradled it in her arms.
“Whoa am not gonna hurt ya,” she said.
The RuckRacoon looked at Millory and stopped struggling Millory put the RuckRacoon down.
“Where’s your family,” asked Millory.
“There dead,” the RuckRacoon replied.
“I know how it feels, my family are dead too, My little sister, and My older bro and sister were killed when I was a week old,”
“Oh,” replied the RuckRacoon
“What’s ya name,”
“It’s Racky,” it replied. “What’s yers?”
“Millory,” she said looking at the distance.
Racky heard something not far away, and started to walk backward.
“What is it?” asked Millory.
“It’s the Military there coming this way, come on.” Replied Racky and they took off.
But it was too late Millory looked around too see military officers armed to the teeth with weaponry.
“Hold it right there duck!” ordered a voice.
“Wha…? What” stuttered Millory.
“Put your hands on your head, and slowly drop your weapons,” instructed an officer. “If you don’t corporate we’ll be forced to shoot.”
Millory scanned all of the officers and counted out her options.
But looked like it was going to be impossible they had her cornered from each side.
Hiding in the trees and bushes were the blade waiting for the right time to strike.
“Now!” whispered Duke.
They slowly moved out surrounding the officers.
“Hold it right there, McWebster,” said Duke sternly his blade at the ducks back. “Let the kid go know.”
“L’Orange.” He growled.
Millory took this chance to attack and with her blade on the ready.
When another blocked it off, Millory looked at who had stopped her. It was Lilly DeSiv, Millory stared coldly at Lilly.
“What ya doing Lilly, I was ready take this dick out,” yelled Millory putting the blade under McWebster beak.
“That’s not how we deal with these guy’s Millory,” she snapped back.
“Well I don’t trust either one of these fucks,” pointing her blade at the officers.
“What do you want L’Orange,” demanded McWebster.
“I want you let her go know and leave her alone,” replied Duke.
“Fine let the kid go,” Millory was released from the officers that surrounded her.
“What are we meant to do with these guy’s then,” protested Millory.
“We take them with us,” replied Duke.
“ARE YA NUTS!” yelled Millory crossing her arms.
“No he’s not actually Millory,” replied Elise.
“AND how is not nuts,” asked Millory.
“They’ll be put to work. And no one ever escapes the blade.” Replied
Ringo.
“That’s not why we tried to take down your friend.” Growled another a female officer with long red hair down to her shoulders, wearing combats stuff.
“Then why did you have a gun to her head then,” demand Tina.
“We wanted too recruit her,” replied McWebster.
“Recruit! Why?” asked Tina suspiciously.
“Well the Eastend Army are saying that the saurians are planning a surprise attack and we’ve got to be ready for them.” Replied McWebster.
“Millory put away your blade,” ordered Duke.
Millory stared coldly at Duke and McWebster giving that ‘why should I’ look but put it away anyway.
“Speak.” Snarled Duke.
“Fine it said to be the saurians are hiding in space waiting for the right moment to attack us. Sometime next year.” Replied McWebster.
Then all of a sudden more military recruits came out and held their weapons at the ready.
“Shit!” growled Millory, “I knew this was a trap.” She drew her blade again ready for when to attack.
“Take them!” ordered McWebster.
“Wha…?” started Hunter.
“Put down your weapons KNOW!” command a young male duck.
With brown feathers in full body armour and combats hold a large Puckbazooka.
They put down their weapons but Millory refused too she was ready to fight she gritted her teeth the sun reflected off the blade.
The duck saw this and stared at her, he saw anger in her eyes.
“Didn’t you not hear me,” he said sternly stepping forward.
“Stand back or I’ll cut ya a new face,” she snarled.
But Millory was tooken out from behind. She couldn’t get up she had been pinned down by the female from earlier and a recruit.
“Cool it KNOW!” yelled the male duck looking down at the young female teenaged duck.
Millory spat at him, he looked down at the female and wiped it off his face the stomped his foot down on Millory’s chest.
She yelled out as she heard the loud crack, and lay still breathing heavily but know fear showed in her eye’s she looked at two who were pinning her down then past out.
“Millory,” yelled Duke.
“Shut it L’Orange.” Ordered the male.
“That was out order Commander,” said McWebster.
“Sorry Major but she was resisting arrest,” replied the Commander.
“I want to see you in my officer Canard.”
“Yes sir,” he replied.
They walked off leaving Millory’s body behind. Millory lay there for hours Racky stood over her when it started to snow, a snow flake landed in Millory’s eye she slowly woke up and looked around then she saw Racky standing over her.
“Where’s the others?” she asked.
“They’ve been tooken by the Military,” replied Racky.
“I’ve got to go after them.” She said when she went get up she fell back down straight away.
“Millory don’t move your hurt,” said Racky.
“I’ve to help the others.” She replied holding her chest she began to get up again and was successful this time.
The Military base in the outside of Jense.
The Majors office, he is talking to Commander Canard Thunderbeak of the Recruiter section.
“Commander Thunderbeak that was out of line, you’ve just killed an innocent teenager,” said Major Rusky McWebster.
“But she was resisting arrest sir,” he replied.
“I know but she didn’t deserve to die,” he said “Look just get out of my office.”
“Yes sir,” he said and walked out.
Meanwhile outside the base Millory slowly made her way through the forest and came to the base.
“Racky stay there I’ll get them out okay,” she said and jumped up and crawled along an airvent.
She came to the end of the vent and looked around before going in then when she turned the around the corner the and bumped into a duck and jumped to feet and took a few steps back.
“Eh! Sorry Mallory didn’t see ya,” she said “See ya”
“Huh,” she muttered and walked on.
Meanwhile down in the sells the blade sat around. Duke sat on the floor hoping Millory was alright, When the door opened up allowing a young teenage duck with red hair and the same length as Millory’s
In matter a of fact she looked like Millory in a way. Duke wondered to himself ‘It can’t be?’
“Millory is that you kid?” asked Duke the red head duck looked out the corner of her eye staring at Duke.
“Do I look like Millory,” she growled.
“Yeah!” they all said at once.
“Well am not who ya think I am,” she replied then walked off but Duke grabbed her arm. The female stared coldly at him.
“Well if your not Millory then who are you?” he asked suspiciously.
“That’s fer me to know and you not know L’Orange.” She growled.
“But you look so much liked Millory,” he said.
“Duke get a gripped of yaself if she not Millory then leave her alone.” Snapped Hunter.
Then all of a sudden a someone jumped the girl from behind and knocked her out.
“Millory yar here,” said Tina jumping for joy.
Duke stared at the young girl that know lay unconious on the floor, then turned to Millory.
“What ya staring at Duke?” she asked.
“Nothing come on,” replied Duke.
“Come on if we’re getting outta here we’ll need a hostage,” snarled Falcone looking at the young teen on the floor.
“But she just a kid,” retorted Lilly.
“Who cares come on,” growled Falcone he grabbed the girl and stuck a Puckluncher to her head to her still unconious body.
They walked down the halls into long passage then a small group of soldiers saw them they stopped cold in their tracks when they saw the hostage.
“What the Fuck,” frowned a soldier pulling their Puckluncher out.
“Hold it right there,” said another soldier.
“Put them down of I’ll kill her,” snarled Falcone squeezing at the trigger ready to fire. They put down their weapons and moved to the side they walked further down and reached the exit and when the soldiers made it to the exit they where gone.
Later at The Brotherhood Of The Blade.
Millory and Duke were outside the sells talking when they heard a loud bang they ran in to find that the teen had woken up.
Duke saw the anger in her eyes she looked as if she was going to kill someone.
“Who are you?” questioned Duke.
“I told you none of the ya bizz wax L’Orange.” She replied.
Millory drew her blade and placed it under her beak with a cold stare. “And what are ya gonna da kill me,” she taunted smirking.
“Tell us or I will kill ya,” she growled with the point know touching her throat.
“Go ahead I am not afraid ta die,” she replied
Millory stared at her with pure anger in her eyes and raised her blade ready to strike when Duke stopped her.
“Know tell us know,” he said.
“God what so big about my name?” she said sarcastically.
“Just tell us,”
“Fine Jeez it’s Mallory McMallard!” She yelled
Millory froze at the name and turned away
“Milly where ya going?” called Duke he ran after her and caught up with her at the door. “What’s up?”
“My last name is McMallard which means that… she my little sister,” she replied with a whisper
“What!?” said Duke in shock.
“HEY! If we’re telling names here ya maz while tell me yerz,” said Mallory.
“Mallory dan’t ya remember me?” asked Millory
“Yeah ya just stuck a sword to my throat DUH!” she said sarcastically.
“No from a long time ago?”
“Nope,” she replied.
“Mal,” started Millory “It’s me Millory ya 3 minute older sister.
“Millory,” she asked
“Yeah!” she replied.
“Oh! I thought ya were dead,” she said slowly turning away.
“Mally look am sorry, fer this man I really am.” She said putting a hand on her shoulder.
“I guess I am to Mil but, it’s so difficult all my life I’ve been so lonely not knowing if you were alive or even Kim, Mel, or Alex.” She confessed.
“Mal it’s okay man, hey look ya ma little sister am glad I found ya,”
Then Racky jumped on Millory’s shoulders.
“Really?” asked Mallory looking at her from the corner of her eye.
“Really Mally,” she replied. “So where’s the others?”
“I dan’t know I haven’t seen since,” she replied
“Wait a minute what do ya mean since?” asked Duke.
“I don’t know how to explain it but…” started Millory
“But what?”
“Well it started when we were kids our mother was really pissed off with Mallory that night when it happened.” started Millory “We were chased by the saurians they were after us when they killed our mother, but our father he wasn’t around much we weren’t sure if he was dead or not,” replied Millory finishing what Duke wanted to know.
“You mean there could be another saurian invasion?” he questioned.
“Yeah,” they replied together.
“Da you know when?” asked Duke
“No!” said Millory shaking her head.
“Great,” growled Duke
5 years passed it was a quite day in the streets of Puckradic kids where playing hockey or iceboarding.
But at the military base outside of Puckradic everything was quite Mallory was back at the base. But didn’t give the way about of the blade.
“Gernal there’s something on the radar.” Said the Private.
“What is it?” he asked
“I don’t know,” replied the Private.
“Well get on it!” ordered the Gernal
“Yes sir,”
The team of tech’s started to type away.
Gernal turned away as he was heading toward the door.
An explosion erupted blowing the base up.
At the blade Millory was tossing a puck over her head in boredom the door creek open she lost her track after throwing the puck above her head she turn to the door as the puck came down on her head.
“Hmm!” she groaned as she rubbed her head.
“Cum on kid,” said Duke
“What?” asked Millory “What’s up?”
“We’re being invaded,” said Duke flatly.
“What is it the Saurians?” she asked.
“Don’t know,” he replied “Cum on,”
Millory grabbed her blade and she swung it over her shoulder as she followed Duke out to the main control room.
“What’s up?” asked Duke
“The city in chaos,” replied Lilly “It a blood bath out there,”
“Where are the Military,” asked Millory “Why aren’t they fighting back?”
“The Puckradic base is gone they’ve blown it up,” replied Hunter.
“What!” gasped Millory “Is there any survivors?”
“I don’t know it hasn’t been confirmed,” replied Hunter.
“Mallory!” whispered Millory “I’ve gotta go!” she ran out of the blade.
“Hunter, Ruye keep an eye on her!” ordered Duke
Ruye and Hunter took off after Millory.
At the Military base or what was left of it those who managed to escape serious injures managed to get out but hardly anyone made it out. Near by the Commander stood over the half burned down ruins of the base. Nearby some metal was moving as someone tried to get out from under the Steel girders of them. The Commander went to help them he move the girder just bearly.
“Canard?” asked the muffled voice as it choke.
“Mallory” he replied “Are ya okay?”
“I’ve just had a building fall on me, You tell me,” she replied sarcastically.
“I’ll take that as a no,” he said helping her up.
“I think I can walk,” she said with grunt trying to get up.
Later Millory, Hunter and Lilly came to were the base once stood but found nothing and no one, Millory looked around in disbelief.
“Mallory,” she whispered “MALLORYYYY!!!!” she cried as she fell to her knees and she hung her head in shame.
Hunter and Lilly looked at each other then to Millory on the ground and slowly went to her.
“Cum on kid let’s go home,” said Lilly helping Millory to her feet.
They walked back to the Blade. As they walked in Duke stood there waiting for them too return.
“How’d it go?” he asked
Hunter and Lilly looked at Duke then to Millory who had her head down. Duke sighed as he walked over to her.
“It’s okay Milly,” he said hugging her he stroked her hair as she cried onto him. “It’s okay,”
“Mallory,” she whispered as her tears soaked her face.
2 weeks later Duke was went on a mission to the food depots. Saurians hunter drones tried to steal it for the overlord that conquered the planet.
He switched on the blade and shot a grappling hook and swung down and sliced the drones in half.
“This food belongs too the people,” he started “Not that tyrant Dragonaus,” he looked up to see the figure hidden in the shadows.
The figure jumped down.
“Aw ya didn’t even leave any fun for me,” said the figure walking up to him to reveal that it was Millory.
“Hmm! Cum on Milly let’s get outta here,” he said as he was just leaving Millory followed him.
They left to find 4 figures standing there. One of them came up to Duke.
“You’re on the resistance you got it,” he snapped
Millory looked at him then turned to Duke who stood there dumfounded. Then she turned to the other three her eyes widened her mouth hung slightly opened as she whispered.
“Mallory?” she whispered.
But she looked different a lot different than before.
A stony glare was in her eyes with no sign of emotions, as she stood there as she trained her sight on who was staring at her but she didn’t show much enthusiasm in her glance toward her.
She stood up straighter than she did before a long scar was down her left side of her face.
‘She musta got it from battle’ thought Millory as she looked toward her younger sister.
She ran toward her and hugged her.
The other two looked at each other the small blonde frowned as he looked at the two red heads.
“Mallory I thought you were dead,” cried Millory
But Mallory just shoved Millory off of her. Her glare turned to an icy stare.
“Get away from me Millory,” sneered Mallory lowering head a bit her eyes still trained on her.
Millory looked at her younger sister and put her hands up to stop a punch sent her way.
“War has made you weak!” said Mallory flatly. “You make me sick!” she spat.
“Mallory what has happened to you?” asked Millory
“Nothing has happened to me Millory,” she replied her voice like ice. “I’ve grown up that’s what,”
“Mallory…” she started but she walked past her she looked over her shoulder then turned away from her then looked up to the red sky and sighed.
Duke looked over to where Millory stood then to where the other two stood.
“Mallory?” he asked
She snorted in reply as she looked toward Canard.
“Huh?” questioned the blonde “What just happened?”
“Come on Nosedive we better get going,” replied his older brother
“Right Wing man,” he replied and they ran off after Canard and Mallory.
“Millory,” started Duke as he walked toward her and was going to put a hand on her shoulder but she pulled away.
“Go with them Dad,” she said with hollow tone.
Duke looked at Millory he saw the guilt in her eyes.
He wanted to help her but he knew he couldn’t.
Millory and Mallory they were both different in their own ways.
“Go!” she said with a demanding tone
Duke never heard that tone from Millory before and he left her alone.
She turned away a lone tear rolled down her face as she listened to the quite footstep walk away.
She looked around to see him disappear with the other 4 ducks from the resistance.
She felt her heart pounding in her head, all of her muscles hurt as she watched them go.
She walked back to the blade, Lilly and Ruye looked toward the young teen as she walked in.
“Hi Kiddo where’s Duke?” asked Ruye
Millory looked up at them then closed her eyes and sighed.
“He was recruited by the resistance,” she replied
They looked at each other then to Millory
“What?” asked Lilly dumfounded.
“He’s left us for the resistance,” the sound of Millory’s hollow voice repeated.
“Millory…” started Ruye
“Don’t start Ruye,” said Millory breaking the sentence “I don’t want to hear it,”
Lilly sighed as she watched Millory leave then Ruye snapped back into reality.
“Poor kid,” she said after few minutes of quietness.
Millory sat on the window ledge she looked out onto the crumbled city and sighed. She looked down at the puck in her hands and sniffed.
“Why?” she asked in confusion.
Silence took the over the room.
As she sat back and stared at the city staring into space and then closed her eyes.
Her last word before she fell asleep were.
“Mallory,” she then fell into a deep sleep.
The Next day the main room of the blade Millory stared down at her feet and had not said anything for an hour know.
She looked up at the group in the middle of the room and walked toward them.
“I’ve got an idea,” she said dryly
They looked toward were they Resistance took off in the military aircraft and flew away they followed them.
On the ground on a couple of Duckcycles they had managed to swipe.
They drove over the rocky desert terrain.
They weren’t going to stand by and let the resistance have all the fun.
They came to a stop as the aircraft disappeared.
“Huh?” said a confused Hunter
“Cum on!” ordered Millory
Lilly looked at the young teen then followed her then disappeared with her so did the others.
“Look it’s the Master tower!” exclaimed Hunter.
“Keep on Movin’ guys!” said Millory of the roaring of the engines of the duckcycles.
They came to a stop outside they saw the aircraft.
They saw a lone figure inside looking so bored out of his wits that he was staring into space.
Millory threw a small stone at the windshield and the duck came back to reality.
He looked out the window Millory stood there with the others behind her and waved.
He opened the ramp and walked down.
“You!” he started “you’re that scary redheads sister,”
Millory nodded her head she allowed a small smile then turned her attentions to the Master Tower then looked to the blonde.
He immediately got the message.
“I read ya loud and clear Girly-girl,” he said and ran in and closed the ramp.
He looked at the controls then put a hand over his eyes and moved his figure around then press a button.
“Wahoo Nosedive to Tower here goes nothing,” he said then he looked out to see the window wipers moving “Arg Wrong,”
Then it took off after awhile.
“What?” asked Hunter ”What Didja just tell him ta da?”
“Just wait and see Hunter,” she gave a small smirk.
As he watched a bit of the Master Tower blow up.
“That should give the others enough time cum on,”
Just then some Hunter Drones came trudging out and started to fire on them.
“LET’S ROCK GUY’S!!!” yelled Millory as she drew her blade and sliced a Drone in half.
Hunter, Lilly, Ruye and Ringo started to fight the Drones too and slicing and dicing them into bits.
Millory looked behind her just a Drone was about to hit her from behind she sliced it into bits.
Hours went on, as they took on the Drones none of the Drones stood.
Inside the Master Tower
“Where those Drones!” roared Dragonaus
“You sent them out after those ducks outside boss,” squawked Chameleon.
Just then the Tower shook look we can’t wait here any longer,” growled the overlord just then Siege and Wraith got into the Raptor just as it was leaving they took off.
But soon did the Areowing it gave chase after them.
Tanya looked out the window of the Areowing to see the ducks below.
“Guy’s look!” she said pointing out of the window.
They did Duke stood there Canard looked out at the young ducks on the ground just as the top of the tower fell to the ground a few yards from them.
“Who are they?” Demanded Canard
Wildwing and Nosedive looked out as they saw the them get further away.
“Millory,” whispered Duke that is all he could say as he looked at the young teenaged duck he left behind.
Mallory stood there she looked at her then smile for first time in ages.
‘Millory so your are just as good as I heard,’ she thought then smile as she turned away.
“Who were they?” asked Canard.
“Friends!” said Mallory flatly
they disappeared into the Dimensional Limbo after the Raptor.
Millory and the others watched them disappear into the Gateway Millory never looked away she stood silent as it closed at that end.
“Goodbye Mallory,” she said with whisper.
The others looked toward Millory the silent young teen infront of them just proved one thing that was capable of being a true leader and she proved it by being well thought out like any Military officer would of.
Millory maybe was alone but the blade was always there for her, Millory was a strong leader she was maybe not of thought to be the next leader of the blade but they could see the strength that she showed on the battlefield.
“There’s still a bit of Military influence in her,” said Ringo
“I know she so strong, and she won’t ever give up which makes her the best pick of the leader of the blade,” exclaimed Lilly.
They looked toward the young teen and smiled.
“Mew!” called Hunter
She looked toward them.
“Yeah?” she replied looking at them.
“How would you like to be the new leader of the blade?” asked Ringo
“Well how about it Mew?” asked Lilly.
She smiled as she closed her eyes and raised her head up to the sky.
“Sure,” she replied.
Later that night Millory stood on the roof of the blade and stared up into the sky and closed her eyes.
“Where are ya dad, Mal?” she asked but knowing she wasn’t going to get a reply.
She sighed and looked into the sky of Puckworld as cold breeze blew her hair.
“Mallory you had so much to give,” she whispered she looked over the city of the Puckradic.
“Dad you ta why Didja leave me?” she asked as she sighed then stared into the distance.
Wondering were Mallory and her dad could be hoping that they would be okay and they will come back to her safely and unharmed.
She knew deep down inside that Mallory was growing up and she respected that. She knew they were hero’s to her if not to anyone else but her they were.
