Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons Part 1 "In the eye’s of the enemy" Mallory was walking back to Pond, when she heard a scream. She stood still for a moment then snapped back into reality then ran to the source. She went into the alley she looked around she kept her breathing steady while she listened for anything she walked in further she couldn’t see well the dark shadows had sheltered the alley hiding what was in the alley. She turned around as she saw something from the corner of her eye. She gasped then took a few steps back then took a defence stance. A snicker was heard then pair of fingers cracked. "Well look what we have here guy’s?" snarled the leader She looked around her surroundings she then noticed the fire escape. Then without warning she jumped for it, as a few shots were fired at her as she continued up the fire escape. She reached the top of the fire escape they followed close behind Mallory stood there waiting for them to reach her. When they got to the top, the Leader snorted the chuckled then pointed the gun at her. "Bad mistake duck!" he growled "We’ll see about that," she taunted as she grinned then took a fighting stance, as the goons ran at her. One with a pair of nun-chucks came at her. He swung them at her but she dodged easily, then swung around into a spinning heel kick to the back of his head sending him to the ground. Just then a chain was wrapped around her neck she grabbed at the chain then through him over her shoulder. She looked out the corner of her eye waiting for the next one to attack her. She allowed herself to grin as she cracked her neck. "Who’s next?" she challenged "Wha…?!" stuttered one of the goons as he charged at her. He yelled as he charged when he got closer she jumped over him then swung around kicking him at the bass of the spine he cried out in agony as he fell to his knees still screaming in pain she looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "Pitiful," she growled then looked back to the leader then grinned. "ARGH!!" he yelled "I’LL KILL YOU!!" Mallory put on an amused grin as she watched him trying to aim the gun but she knew better than to let her enemy have the upper hand, she knew she could easily take him out no problem but she rather wait. "WHY AREN’T YOU AFRAID!!" he yelled She lifted her head a bit the grin was still there as her eyes narrowed she crossed her arms. "Cuz why be afraid of you?" she taunted "When you the one that’s afraid," "SHIT!" he swore "AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU!!" He took a few shots they missed her for miles. "Then if you not afraid then why is your aim way off, you could hit me if you weren’t afraid," she taunted He then fired again but only a click the gun was empty blanks fell to the ground he through the gun to the ground. Then pulled out a knife and charged at her, the knife cut through the air he stopped a few inches away from her she duck the knife, but then he made a stupid move then turned his back on her he fell to the ground, rolling in agony. He growled Mallory stood over him her eyes narrowed, then out of nowhere she was lifted up into the air. She struggled to get free then was thrown to the ground hard she slumped to the ground she squinted her eyes open to look at the large man. "I thought you were better than that kid," he snarled the shadows hiding him. Mallory got to her feet as she stumbled forward then backward, she had hit her head hard. She shook her head then stood up straight as she took a few steps forward. "Come on hit me with you best shot kid," he taunted as she got closer she felt sharp pain in her gut she looked over her shoulder to see the gang leader had stabbed her from behind. "I told you I would kill you," he breath was hot as he breathed on her. Shadowed man threw the leader across the roof. She then looked up at the large man she felt so dizzy know as the knife. She yanked the knife out of her flesh, she jumped into the air then into a roundhouse kick to the chest sent him to his knees as he choked as he tried to get his breath back. "Let’s see you try that again kid," he challenged He swung a punch at her she fell to the ground she got tired with every blow, but so did the large man but not much effect as Mallory felt. Mallory rolled out of the way of his foot just in time as it came crashing down to the ground as she blocked of another kick to her face. "Face it McMallard you are weak," he snarled in low voice Mallory growled as her eye widened she recognised the voice. "Shadow," she ducked another kick then flipped out of the way of a drop kick. "Well you do remember do you?" he scowled as blocked off Mallory’s punch. "How could I not remember Shadow," she replied as she jumped back. Just then Shadow got caught off guard and received a spinning heel kick to the side of the head he stumbled back holding his head he took away his hand the blood dripped to the roof top. He growled then smile and not a nice one crept across his face. "I’ll see you around kid," he said as he jumped off the roof then disappeared. Mallory looked over the edge then swore under her breath, then pounded her hands down on the rooftop. She then climbed down the fire escape she limped out of the alley she quickly checked the alley then she saw what looked like a mangled corpse of dead teenage girl, Mallory was about to walk out when she heard a small moan she turned around toward the girl. She walked toward the girl she brushed her hair out of her eyes she looked her over but it was hard to make it out from the darkness of the alley. "Are you okay?" she asked helping her up she lifted her up in her arms. Mallory’s whole body ached she could tell she was bleeding heavily. ‘Bastard!’ thought to herself The girl tilted her head slightly, she saw the pain in Mallory’s eyes. "Stop you’ve got too…rest," whispered the girl. Mallory looked at her she frowned then she shook her head. "No I won’t give up, you’re in bad shape," argued Mallory ‘Stubborn,’ she thought ****************************************************************** Back at the pond Kimberly, Millory and Mellory were in the gym. Kimberly stopped in mid punch as she went a trance. "Hey Kim," asked Millory "What’s up?" Kimberly shook her head then looked at a confused Millory and Mellory. "Hey Kim what’s up?" asked Mellory "Something’s wrong," whispered Kimberly as she took off. Millory and Mellory soon followed after her. ****************************************************************** At hospital the girl was intensive care, Mallory watched in wonderment, she was bleeding heavily now, but she didn’t seem to care. Just then Mallory’s train of thought was interrupted when a doctor came, she walked up to Mallory. Mallory turned around slightly to look at her. The doctor looked at her strangely then saw the wound she looked at her, she put her hand under Mallory’s bill. "Hey are you alright?" she asked Mallory looked at her with a slight frown, then sighed then pulled back. "Okay then let’s get you fixed up," she said Mallory stared up at the ceiling. ****************************************************************** Kimberly grabbed her wrist Com, Millory and Mellory watched from the door. "Hey Mal?" she spoke "Come in," ****************************************************************** Mallory then looked up at her wrist Com, she flipped it open. "Mal here what is it Kim?" she asked with a sigh "Mal are you okay?" she asked "Yes am sheesh Kim, you’re worse than Alex," she muttered "Where are you?" she asked "Kimberly am fine sheesh leave me alone," sighed Mallory. Mallory closed the Com link, then stared back at the ceiling. *********************************************************** "Kimberly?" asked Mellory "Mal’s fine, you’ve got to give her space," "Yeah Kim since when da ya become, miss mum, eh?" asked Millory Kimberly growled then muttered something under her breath. "Am just worried ya guy’s something is wrong, she won’t tell me," argued Kimberly "I wonder why?" said Millory sarcastically. "Mal can take care of herself ya know," Millory walked out into the hall followed by Mellory the door-slid shut. Kimberly sighed and lent against the wall. ‘Mal what are you hiding?’ she thought to herself. ****************************************************************** Mallory walked out of the room, the doctor looked at her then walked over to her. "You shouldn’t be standing," she said grabbing her arm. "It’s just a scratch," she replied then walked out the door. ‘Strange,’ she thought. ****************************************************************** By the time Mallory got back to the Pond it was well after 5 o’clock in the afternoon. Kimberly ran up to her, and hugged her. "Eh Kim?" she winced "Yeah Mal?" as she looked down on her. "Stop crushin me!" she yelped hearing her ribs crack. Kimberly let go of Mallory she saw the same look that Mallory had in her eyes. "Am just glad your okay Mal?" she said Mallory looked up slightly at her then sighed. "Am fine Kimberly stop treatin me like a kid," she bit back. Just then another voice came into the conversation. "That’s just it Mallory, you are still young kid," said the voice. Mallory turned around to see Duke standing there. "Don’t call me that," she growled Kimberly grabbed her arm, and turned her around to face her. "Mallory What’s wrong wit’ you?" she asked "Nothing’s wrong Kim!" she yelled Mallory yanked away her arm from Kimberly’s grip. They watched Mallory walk away from them. "What’s wrong wit’ her?" asked Duke "I don’t know but she been really aggressive recently," replied Kimberly "She been wondering off as well," "We better keep an eye on her," said Duke "By the way have ya seen Millory around?" "No I haven’t, not since this morning" replied Kimberly "Mallory’s really keeping to herself recently," "Yeah and Mellory hasn’t really been saying much either," implied Duke "She really been quiet all of a sudden," "It’s like there’s something wrong," said Kimberly ****************************************************************** Mallory sat quietly thinking to herself on the roof. ‘How could he be alive, I watched him die?’ so many unanswered questions ran through her mind. ‘That *creep! * He’ll pay!’ she sighed then looked up she looked up then turned to see Millory standing there. "Mallory what’s wrong?" she asked as she walked up beside her. "Nothing’s wrong Mil," she muttered "Funny from what I see you’ve got a lot on your mind," she implied Mallory turned too look at her, she then turned away then jumped to her feet. "It’s your past isn’t it?" said Millory not facing her. Mallory stopped in her tracks then looked at her out of the corner of her eye then sighed then walked out. Millory shook her head. ‘Mallory you’ve got to stop and put the past behind you,’ she thought. ****************************************************************** Mallory walked toward the gym she thought she saw something in the shadows she growled under her breath. "How did you get in here!" she growled "Quiet simple really, the security system of this place is quiet impressive," he answered "But had a little help," he grinned just then a bright green flash came from behind Mallory. She quickly jumped out of the way she rolled to a stop. "Dragonaus!" she gasped as she raised to her feet. Just then Mallory felt a cold metal been pressed the back of her head then a click. "Don’t move if ya know what’s good fer ya!" snarled Shadow Mallory growled, then without out warning kicked Shadow in the stomach. Dragonaus Roared in rage as he watched Mallory run for it. Just then the door slammed shut as he got to the door. Mallory lent against it just then a huge dent appeared next to her she jump away just as Dragonaus hand reached for her. "OH SHIT!!" she yelled as he tore through it like it was paper. "Guy’s where are you?" she yelled into her Com. "Mallory what’s wrong," asked Alex "The Saurians are here!" she yelped "What?!" he yelled "I’ll be there soon," ****************************************************************** Dragonaus stood in the hallway. Shadow walked out of the Gym he stood next to him. "Go after her know!" ordered Dragonaus "As you wish my lord," he took off after Mallory. ****************************************************************** Mallory skidded around the corner. She crashed into something, she looked up at it. It was Alex, he looked at her. He helped her up. "Mallory are you okay?" he asked "Just peachy," she replied sarcastically. "Where are they?" he asked Just then there was a laugh Alex turned around to see the dark drake. "Who are you!?" demanded Alex "Why don’t you asked Mallory," he replied Alex turned to look at her he was lost, then saw the anger burning in Mallory’s eyes. "Mallory who is he?" he asked Mallory looked up at him, she closed her eyes and sighed. "His name is Shadow Shadowfeather," she growled Shadow laughed as he saw the confusion in Alex’s eyes. "What do you want from us?" he asked "Why to kill your sister!" he snarled in a low voice a grin crept across his face and not a nice one at that. "YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!!" he yelled "What?! and deny me of my revenge? I think NOT!" he walked toward them. Alex stood in front of Mallory. Shadow got closer and closer to them not looking away from them. "Mallory Run!" ordered Alex "What Noway Alex!" she protested "Next too me he’s one of the best Martial Artists on Puckworld," "I’ll be okay Mal GO!" he pushed her away. Shadow chuckled as he looked at Mallory she growled but she wouldn’t run. “There’s noway I’d ever run away from a fight,” she bit back. She ran at him then they were both in an endless fight as they blocked off each other’s punches and kicks. Then they grappled with each other as they tried to get the upper hand. "Pretty strong aren’t you McMallard," he growled as he pushed forward Mallory pushed back. Alex watched as they fought then he heard something behind him he saw it was Dragonaus. "ENOUGH!!" he yelled Mallory got a little distracted by the roar of Dragonaus that gave Shadow the time to trip her up. "Bad mistake McMallard," he snarled as he placed his foot on her chest. He could feel the raise and fall of Mallory’s breathing under his foot. ‘SHIT!’ she thought ‘that was a bad mistake, I should of never let my guard down,’ she growled as she tried lift his foot of her. Just then Alex tackled Dragonaus he smashed him into the wall then Dragonaus kicked Alex in the gut that sent him down to the ground. "Dispose of that duck!" he spat the dribble of blood that hit the floor. "ALEX!!" cried Mallory Shadow looked down on Mallory a smirk came across his face he forced his foot down. He laughed as heard Mallory yell in pain as he heard her ribs breaking his laugh became louder. He bent down and kicked her in the ribs. "Looks like I’m the new Dragon," he taunted Mallory got to her feet and spat a gob of blood to the floor. "Over my dead body," she choked. "Face it you defeated," he taunted Alex groaned as he tilted his head to look at Mallory but fell back into blankness. Mallory once again took a fighting stance. "Destroy her!" snarled Dragonaus "Very well," he walked toward her. They were once again fighting each other, Mallory was a bit slower than she would be if her ribs weren’t killing her. She delivered a Spinning heel kick to his face, Shadow stumbled backward then he jumped at her but she jumped out of the way. He quickly turned around, but received a jump hi kick to his face, sending him to the ground, he could bearly move know he had taking as much of the blows than Mallory did. "And the Dragon lives on," she taunted to the unconious duck on the floor. Dragonaus roared in frustration, Just then more footsteps were heard Mallory turned to where they came from. The rest of the ducks had just arrived they stopped in there tracks as they saw Dragonaus. Mallory could hardly stand anymore she lent against the wall, Tanya and Kimberly were by Mallory’s side. Grin stood infront of Alex, Dragonaus teleported out of the Pond along with the duck know as Shadow Shadowfeather. Mallory slumped to the floor breathing heavily, Kimberly and Tanya knelt next to her. "Mally?" started Kimberly "What happened?" "Dragonaus somehow managed to block off the…security system and him…and Shadow got in… and attacked me and…Alex," she coughed "Is Alex okay?" "Yeah Mal," replied Kimberly "Remember he’s got a hard head," Mallory smiled at this. Later Mallory lay in the infirmary she stared at the ceiling thinking about something. When her train of thought was stopped when she heard Alex beside her on the other bed. She tilted her head toward him then slowly got up. Alex woke up to find Mallory hanging over him. "Mal?" he asked "Yeah," she replied "Know what were ya saying before you couldn’t of tooken on Shadow neverless Dragonaus," "Okay I was wrong," he sighed "You look terrible, what happened?" "Shadow fought dirty and well broke my ribs but am fine," she assured him. "Jeez some fight I had," he muttered. Mallory looked at him with a smile. "Even I lasted longer than you did," she teased. Alex growled then it disappeared into a smile. "Was that a smart remark Mal?" he taunted "Eh no," she lied playfully. "If it was," he grinned. Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons Part 2 "The Mystery Of Martial Arts," It had been a month since Dragonaus attack alongside Shadow Shadowfeather. Mallory was training as per usual Kimberly watched from a distance, but Mallory never seemed to care as she continued not looking up. Kimberly watched as she saw Mallory train her hardest, just then the door slide open Wildwing stood beside her. "She’s still at it?" he asked Kimberly nodded her head as she continued to watch her not even glancing at Wildwing. "She going to hurt herself if she keeps this up," he sighed "She won’t listen to anyone," replied Kimberly "After that fight with that duck she called Shadow, all she’s been doing is training," "She’s going to over work herself if she keeps it up." argued Wildwing "We can’t just tell her what to do Wildwing," sighed Kimberly "Martial Art is art of lesson, a lesson that takes mistakes to learn from," Wildwing looked a bit confused but still kind of understood what she said. ****************************************************************** Mallory continued too train she flipped backward then jumped into the air into a roundhouse kick, then jumped up again and again. Mallory was focus on one thing and that was getting more stronger she wouldn’t give up until she did. She stood on one foot then kicked out into a sidekick, then rested her foot on the floor. She sighed then wiped the sweat off her head, then continued once again. ****************************************************************** Nosedive yawned aloud as he passed the gym, when his eye caught something, it was Mallory she out cold on the mats. He ran over to her and shook her. "Mal are ya okay?" he asked Mallory looked at him drowsily then closed her eyes again, as she slumped into unconiousness. "Mal!" he yelped Just then Millory and Mellory passed by the looked at each other. "Nosedive that better not be what I think your doing," growled Mellory. Nosedive jerked his up too look at them he glared at her Mellory gave him back one. "No way," he protested "Something wrong with Mal," Millory crouched down beside her and checked her pulse. "Her pulse is at normal," said Millory "Cum help me here Mel," Mellory helped Millory with Mallory to her room. "She’s exhausted that’s all Nosedive," assured Millory "She needs rest she been training too much," "She gonna have to rest, fer awhile" agreed Mellory Mellory, Millory and Nosedive walked out of the room to leave Mallory alone to rest. ****************************************************************** The Rec. Room Kimberly looked up as the door opened up too see Millory, Mellory and Nosedive walk in to the room. "Hi guy’s what’s up?" she asked "Well Mal’s down for sure again," muttered Mellory "Whaddya mean?" asked Kimberly "We found her unconious in the gym this morning again," replied Nosedive. "Is she alright?" she asked "Yeah she’s just tired," replied Millory. "If Mallory, keep this up she’s gonna lose more than her battles but her life," sighed Kimberly Nosedive and Mellory looked her confused. "Okay," they said slowly but sarcastically. Kimberly cocked her eyebrow at them then gave them a grim look. They backed off slowly. "So what you’re basically sayin’ if Mal keeps up this training, when it cum’s to battles and fights, she could be too enraged in battle that she let’s her guard down, then it’s all over for her," sighed Millory as she lent against the wall. "I can’t believe ya understood that," scoffed Nosedive almost laughing. "She’s right ya know, Mal’s gonna tire herself out, and that could be bad," said Millory she said looking at Nosedive. Nosedive looked at her but he knew she was right about Mallory she was working too hard recently. "Mal grew up by herself, god no’s how she was trained to fight, she could be trained to fight with anything, Sword, Sai’s, Bo’s, nun-chucks. We all know that Mallory can be lethal with both weaponry and hand to hand combat," explained Kimberly "There’s millions of different kinds of Martial Arts on Puckworld, some more lethal than others," "Which is the most lethal anyway they all look alike too me?" said Nosedive "No there not Nosedive, Puckworlder’s trained in the Martial Arts can easily tell, but if one isn’t there’s no difference to the untrained eye," explained Kimberly. "The only problem is that Mallory has too much to hide, that she rather keep it bottled up," "Plus of all the kind that Mal fight in hasn’t been seen much," interjected Millory. "That’s true there is a couple of moves I’ve seen her do that no other Martial Arts that I’ve ever seen before," Mellory looked at Nosedive. "Are you following this?" she asked "I think lost you after the word ‘Martial Arts’," he replied nervously while scratching the back of his neck. " And oh yeah and ‘different kinds of Martial Arts’," "Well it’s a start," muttered Millory ****************************************************************** Mallory’s eyes shot open with a start She slowly got out of bed, she walked out the room and down the hall toward the Rec. Room. Once she got there she saw Millory, Mellory, Kimberly and Nosedive they were talking about something. They didn’t notice her standing there by the door all she knew was that they were talking about her and the Martial Arts. "I wonder what the name of the style she fights in is," wondered Kimberly "We’ll never know if we don’t ask her," sighed Millory Kimberly looked up something caught her eye, it was, Mallory. She gave the others a look, they looked at her they knew what that meant. Mallory walked up to them, her arms crossed. "So what we taking about today guy’s," she started sarcastically "Oh wait were talking about how I was brought up weren’t we," "Mallory, we’re worried about you’ve been training for the last month know non-stop," started Kimberly "What’s the matter Kim, can’t take it anymore," she growled "Just because, I train a lot doesn’t have any concern to do wit’ you!" "Yes it does You’re my little sister!" she almost yelled "That’s all I am too you Kim is the lil’ sis, too ya!" she yelled "Am not little anymore Kim I’ve grown up," She walked out leaving the four stunned ducks. Kimberly just lost it as she took off after her. "MALLORY!!" yelled Millory Mallory quickly turned around she dodged a punch that flew her way, then delivered a sidekick to Kimberly’s ribs. Mallory stood over her, teeth gritted, her fist clench tightly. Kimberly looked up at her, abit stunned of what she just tried to do too Mallory. "Get outta here Mallory!" she snarled in a low voice. The others watched from afar, Mallory walked away from them. "I don’t have ta share my past wit’ nobody," she growled over her shoulder. ****************************************************************** Mallory walked along the park, she wasn’t paying any attention, as she was lost in her train of thought. Next thing she knew was she was knocked to the ground. She looked, it was the girl from a month ago. "Am sorry," she gasped standing up. Mallory jumped to her feet, and dust herself off. "It’s alright," she replied as she walked off. "Hey wait I never got to thank you!" she called after her. "Just wait there for a minute," she took off in the opposite direction. She came back with two other people not far behind. Mallory looked up a bit no emotion showed in her eyes. "Mum, Dad this Mallory," she introduced "She the one that saved me," "So you’re Mallory the one we’ve heard so much about," said the Dad. "Yeah I guess so," replied Mallory "You saved our daughter," exclaimed the Mum "How could we ever repay you," Mallory looked at her strangely, she shook her head. "I didn’t do it to get repaid," replied Mallory "Are you sure?" asked the Dad "Am sure," repeated Mallory Mallory eyes seem to look into the distance, something had caught her eye. "Get outta here know!" muttered Mallory just loud enough for them to hear. "Why?" asked the girl "Just do it!" bit back Mallory as she slowly approached the place were she saw the movement. The three watched from afar. Mallory let her instincts take over as she listened for movement. She turned around sharply, just as figure jumped up into the air a blade drawn pointing down. Mallory jumped out of the way, just as the blade smashed into the ground where she once stood. "Shadow," she growled "Prepare to meet your maker kid," he grinned as he ran at her blade right in front of him preparing to strike her down. But she managed to trap his arm she knocked the blade out of his grip and kicked it away. As they watched the girl looked up at her father. "Dad we can’t just stand here," she cried "Stay here," he ran forward. Mallory kicked Shadow at the base of the spine he fell to the ground. "YOU BITCH!!" he yelled Mallory looked up for a second to see the Dad running at Shadow. "NO DON’T!!" she yelled as she ran infront of him. Shadow smirked as he reached for the blade, the Dad stopped in his tracks. As he heard the painful cry of pain. "Long live the ‘Dragon,’ McMallard" Shadow laughed as he yanked the blade out she hit the ground bearly breathing. Shadow looked at the human and chuckled. "That was a stupid mistake, human!" he taunted "You should never interfere with a fight," Then Shadow disappeared into thin air. "Bastard!" swore the Dad he ran over to the fallen duck on the ground her blood drenching the ground around her body. "Why didja interfere with my…fight?" Mallory gritted her teeth as she slowly got up. "You coulda got yerself killed!" "Nevermind your hurt know," he protested "Come on!" Mallory stumbled back abit, she growled as she tried to maintain her balance but her legs gave way under her the dad caught her. "Hold on!" he shook her abit. "GET THE CAR!!" The mother ran off to get the car the girl soon followed after her mother. Once when they were ready to leave they took off down the road. "Dad were you going the hospitals the other way?!" asked the girl "It’s too far from here, we’ll just have to improvise," he replied as he threw over a towel. "Press this against the wound," She push as hard as she could onto the wound she gasped as she heard Mallory winch in pain. The mother looked down into the hazel brown eyes of the duck that lay on her lap what she saw was no emotion she thought to herself. ‘How could she be like that?’ Mallory looked up at her for a second then closed her eyes. She shook her abit. "Hey you’ve got to stay awake," she said simply "What’s your name?" Mallory strained her eyes open to look at her, but everything was swarming around her vision was all fuzzy. "Mallory," she replied "My name is Sara," she introduced "This is my daughter Casey, My Husband, Kevin." She brushed the loose strans of hair out of Mallory’s eyes. ****************************************************************** Later Mallory lay on the couch lucky for her Sara was a trained nurse at the Military on her week off. Mallory had been sleeping of ages, Casey looked up at her for a moment, as she heard a soft moan. "Mallory?" she asked as she nudged her a bit. "Mmhh," is what she got in reply was a muffled moan. "Hey cum on," she looked down on her. Mallory opened her eyes, slowly her eyes searched her surroundings she was could hardly move. "You’re gonna be okay Mallory," Said Casey Mallory looked at her, then sighed as she sloughed in the couch. A breeze came know and then, as it blew back her hair she breathed in the air the pine smell made her feel a bit sick. Millory laughed at Dragonaus, he growled as he stomped toward her. “Getting a little slow at your age Lizard lips,” mused Millory “I’ll kill you one way or the other duck!” he roared. “We’ll see,” grinned Millory Mallory jumped into the air and kicked Shadow as he tried to kick her. Mallory ducked as his foot came flying across her head as she did an uppercut but he blocked it off. Each move made was blocked off by each other, Shadow stopped in his tracks as the wind was knocked out of him. He growled as he coughed up blood and spat the gob to the ground. “You’ll pay for that?” he said through his teeth he swung again at Mallory but she ducked and kicked his feet from underneath him he hit the ground hard knocking himself unconious. Mallory looked down at him for a few seconds when he didn’t move she looked around toward Millory who was fighting Dragonaus. “Hey Dragonaus!” yelled Mallory He turned around to receive a fist to the face of Mallory he turned around then received a kick to the face he fell to the ground dazed. He then teleported away along with the drones and his henchmen. ****************************************************************** Later Mallory lay on her bed as she stared up at the ceiling, her thoughts were stopped when she heard the door opening up. I guess he was jealous of me being one of Karouda’s best students.’ *********************************************************** A younger Mallory walked along the field where she trained her hair was longer. She was in her just turning a teenager within a few days. Mallory turned around to see Master Nataku coming over to her side. He looked off into the distance, Mallory looked up at him a faint smile was on her beak but it quickly disappeared. “Mallory?” he started still looking off into the distance. “How would you feel if two new students joined us?” Mallory frowned, then looked away, a deathing silence came over them. “Who are they?” she asked not looking at him. “There from the Karouta Arts school,” he replied “They’ve been half trained in the Karouta. They wish to know the Karouda Arts,” “The Karouta their MURDERS!” exclaimed Mallory her anger was clear in her voice as she clenched her hand tightly. “I know Mallory,” he said his voice steady. “There also the ones that kill your Father,” Mallory looked at him her eyes widened anger was there and raising. “Mallory don’t let your anger get the better of you your too strong to let get to you,” he said as he knelt he put his hands on her shoulders. “They killed my dad,” she whispered her eyes were defocused he could just see the hurt look in her eyes. Without warning she took off, he watched as she ran back to the cabin. ‘I should never of told her,’ he thought then closed his eyes. Just then as Mallory got to the training area a car pulled up infront of her dust filled the area. She stopped her eyes narrowed, her teeth clenched her hand were tightly clenched. The dust cleared, they looked at her, and she growled back at them. “Hey kid where’s Master Nataku?” asked the tall one. Mallory didn’t say anything, she turned away as she headed for the cabin. Mallory watched from her room, as Master Nataku talked to the two, the small one looked out of the corner of her eye toward Mallory. Mallory turned away. “Master Nataku your student seems too have a problem with us,” said the male a grin appeared across his beak. “She has just learned something she didn’t know, besides I don’t think it’s your business,” growled Nataku “I guess so Master,” said the male the sound of his tone had a certain mocking sound to it. *********************************************************** ‘I could tell Master Nataku didn’t trust them either,’ ‘The one known as Jason Shadefeather, was too cocky for his own good. As for his sister Snow, she was a bit too quite for my own liking,’ ‘It made me think she had something to hide from us,’ “For some reason I didn’t trust them, I just had this feeling that I should trust them, not cuz their kind killed my dad, the only family I had,’ ‘When we trained I had no control on what I did, it defocused my main objective, and that was to train for the Championships Martial Arts Tournament,’ ****************************************************************** “MALLORY!!” yelled Nataku Next thing Mallory knew was a foot came to contact to her face, she fell to the ground. “Mallory,” he walked over to her “What’s wrong with you you’re not consecrating on your fight,” Mallory propped herself onto her elbows as she listened. She slowly got up, and stared him right in the eye, he saw nothing but anger in her eyes. “What’s the POINT!,” she simply said “Why don’t you just enter them into the Tournament, am nothing,” Mallory walked off, ignoring everything around her. ****************************************************************** Later Jason went after her, it didn’t take long before he caught up. Mallory turned around she narrowed her eyes at him. “Leave me ALONE!” she growled Jason had grin across his face, Mallory teeth were clench so tight blood trickled from her beak. Just then Mallory was on her back unable to move, she tried to get up but couldn’t. “Get off of me!” she growled “Nah ah, You’ve got a date with you maker Kiddo,” he chuckled He grabbed her by the throat, she tried to get free but it was like having 20 odd saurian on her. Just then she somehow managed to get free, and kicked him away. She got to her feet, as she spat a blob of blood to the ground. “It’s you it gonna meet ya maker Jason,” she jumped into the air a roundhouse kick to the chest sent him to his knees, as he tried to get his breath back. Mallory looked down at him, her hands clenched, her breathing heavily. Within seconds the two became entangled in a free for all fight. She went in for the spinning heel kick to his head but he grabbed her foot, he tried to push her to the ground but she flipped out of the way after he tried to push her. Each of their moves were blocked by each other, they came to drop a few feet down, Mallory did a cartwheel kick in the air but he ducked it, she then receive a uppercut and fell to her back hard, he put a foot on her then rolled her over the edge. “Long live the Dragon,” he taunted. Then walked away, laughing. Lucky for Mallory a military transport unit was driving by but she went smack into the roof then through material that was used for a roof. “What was that?!” yelped on of men transporting the goods. They skidded to a stop. They jumped into the back, they found what it was it was Mallory, she groaned as she tried to get up but she slumped and into the unconious darkness. “Hey kid are you okay?” asked the driver. But no response came back. “We better get her out of here,” said his friend. “Right!” they helped her. “You stay back here and look after her,” “Kay,” he jumped in while his friend jumped into the driver’s seat. ****************************************************************** Back at the cabin, Jason just got back, Master Nataku walked up to him. “Where’s Mallory?” he questioned “I haven’t seen her,” he lied Master Nataku watched him walk away into the cabin. ****************************************************************** A base not far from where she’d lived with her Master for not many years. She had woken up, dazed, sore, her body ached as she tried get up, but failed her head hit the pillow. She rolled over the edge of the bed and landed on her feet, she slowly stood up straight. ‘Where am I?’ she asked herself she looked over toward the door and walked out. She looked both ways to see if anybody was around, she frowned. ‘This must be a base of some sort,’ she thought as she walked down the corridor. Her eyes searched her surroundings she was careful of were she went. Just then she heard a yell come for behind her, she turned around sharply then took off down the corridor. “HEY COME BACK HERE!!!” yelled the voice She ducked into a room not knowing what was there she sighed in relief. Just then she felt a tap on her shoulder she turned around, a big duck loomed over he looked at her, her eyes widened as he reached for her. Without warning she punched him in the face, but when she reached for the door it wouldn’t open. “SHIT!” she muttered “Please wait,” he began “Are you Mallory McMallard?” Mallory looked at him, and frowned she nodded her head in Response. “How did you know?” she asked “You’ve got that same look he had,” he replied “Who?” she asked simply “Your father,” he replied. “You knew my father?” asked Mallory as she looked up at him. “Yes you were just born, a week when I heard that your mother was slaughtered,” he explained “Your father tried to keep you and sisters and brother safe but ended up getting himself killed,” “Brother? Sisters?” Mallory was confused know “Yes you have a brother called Alex, and four sisters, your older sister Kimberly, and your identical twin sisters, Millory and Mellory, but Alex lives not far from here, but your sisters have been lost for so long I don’t know where they are,” “Where is Alex?” asked Mallory her eyes were full of different mixed emotions. “Your brother lives just outside of the city,” he replied ‘Mmmhh I’ve seen that house a few times,’ she thought then took off with no warning. She came to the house, at the bottom of the hill she could see the house, she stood there for a moment. Mallory was fighting Shadow, they were evenly matched move for move, punch for punch and kick for kick. “You’ve picked the wrong duck to pick on Shadow!” growled Mallory then took a fighting stance. “We’ll see Kid,” he snarled as he tried to punch her. “You’ve gotten slow,” she taunted as she trapped his arm then flipped him onto his back. She stood over him she held him down then went deliver the final blow but he disappeared. Mallory growled in frustration, as she looked for him. ‘Where’d he go,’ she thought to herself. Just then Mallory was lifted off the ground and into the air. “What were you saying about being too slow earlier,” he growled in a low voice. “Know say goodnight,” Mallory looked over her shoulder, then kicked Shadow in the gut. Just then a bang forced the three to turn around as they saw a young teenaged duck, anger blazed in her eyes. “Get out of here Jason,” growled Mallory “Snow TAKE CARE OF HER!!” he ordered Snow looked at her hesitantly, but does what her brother said and grabbed Mallory’s arms. “Snow you don’t have too do this!” said Mallory Jason turned to face Master Nataku, an evil smile appeared on his beak. “Now you will train me or…” he started then turned toward Mallory “Or I’ll kill her,” “Fine,” he growled They walked out of the cabin, both took fighting stances and were soon engaged in battle. ‘The fight went on for nearly 2 hours, Shadow got more out of control so he did the next thing, he could he stabbed him in the chest several times.’ ‘I stood frozen from what he did, I was filled anger and hatred after he had killed him, he was like my father to me and he killed him.’ ‘I felt another part of me die, like when my real father died, no one could tell how I felt, I had lost a lot and they couldn’t care.’ ‘Master Nataku got himself killed cause of a simple fight, and it felt like hell, all he did was laugh after he had killed him.’ Mallory ran at Jason, but he caught her off guard, and she felt a hard roundhouse kick to the ribs. He kicked her in the ribs, she rolled onto her back, her teeth clenched. “The Karouda, that I know is not to be used the way you think,” “Yeah then why is it known as the lethalist art on Puckworld?” he asked “Cause those that abuse it, will soon pay the price of the Karouda law,” she growled “How will they without the Masters of the Karouda?” spat Jason “Jason I’ve been trained fully in the Arts,” started Mallory she slowly got to her feet she limped as she walked. “The price is death, by the one who trains them, or the Masters Student,” she said sternly “And Jason Shadefeather I will make you pay for what you have done to me and my Master.” Mallory’s words were cold as ice and bitter but the emotionless look still remained there. “The enchants of the Arts are dead, you little Bitch,” he snarled “And so will you be if you don’t train me,” Mallory looked at him and started to laugh, Snow watched from a far as the younger duck walked straight toward him. “You fear, what tends to stand above you!” chuckled Mallory a half grin across her beak. “Your problem is you underestimate your enemy, It’ll will cause your down fall Jason,” “Don’t call me that!” he snapped “Jason is dead,” Snow looked at him oddly, she stood by Mallory she looked toward Mallory the emotionless glare was still there, no pain showed nothing showed she then turned toward Jason. “What are you talking about?” asked Snow “I am no longer Jason I am Shadow Shadowfeather!” he proclaimed “The Master of the Karouda and Karouta” Mallory lowered her head down abit, her eyes narrowed as she growled. He began to walk out of the cabin. “YOU will NEVER be the MASTER of the KAROUDA OR THE KAROUTA!!” growled Mallory aloud He turned around and laughed, as he looked at the battered duck infront of him. “You dare challenge me you nameless Duck,” he chuckled “That’s where you are wrong Jason!” said Mallory in a low voice. “I have been trained extendedly, in many of the Martial Arts of this planet, from the Enchant Arts of the Draciana’s, Shadow Arts, Kai miyu to the Karouda,” she grinned “Where as you have only learned two of the Arts!” she walked past him then looked over her shouldered “I could kill you in an instance!” ‘Shadow didn’t get it, he was a fool to challenge me I surpassed him in every way he wouldn’t defeat me.’ ‘The Martial Arts of Puckworld and Draciana Arts. I was taught them all even in the Military I was trained to be the prefect soldier and the prefect fighter there was no room for mistakes in that time of peace you were either trained to take orders or trained to be the prefect soldier. Inside Mallory’s head two-sides of her conscience were at war with other each trying to fight to win and endless battle. ‘Why am I doing this?’ asked the good side ‘Cause you want too,’ replied the dark side ‘No this is WRONG!’ yelled the good side ‘Face it! You won’t win,’ snarled the dark side ‘wanna bet!” growled the good side ‘Your weak and you won’t win, the weak always die first,’ declared the dark side. Each of them entangled in a fight, each blow made damage to the other each weaking with every blow made. The good side made a pummelling punch to the face of the dark side the dark one fell to the ground unconious. ‘Wrong you should never underestimate your enemy, sometimes it takes one weak person to make a difference,’ the good side said standing of over the unconious body. ‘Know it’s up too you Mallory you’ve got to reawaken from this spell,’ The others are hopelessly out of their league fighting Mallory by themselves. Mallory walks over to Kimberly and stands over her and bends down and grabs her by the throat, Kimberly’s eyes squint open to see the purple eyes glaring at her as she lifted off the ground, she couldn’t breath everything was getting dizzy from lack oxygen. “Don’t…Mallory…please?” said a weakened Kimberly softly She saw Mallory’s eyes change abit as her grip slackened on her throat, she let Kimberly fall to the ground Kimberly looked up at Mallory. She her eyes closed she fell to her knees then fell to the ground unconious. “Mallory?!” yelped Kimberly as she pulled Mallory’s limp body toward hers and hugged her tightly. Inside Mallory’s head, was turning back to normal thoughts from her past raced through her mind. Mallory stood there she gasped. ‘Master Nataku?” she said ‘Mallory you’ve got to return to them they need you,’ he replied ‘But Master, I’ve failed,’ she argued ‘No you haven’t, ‘Young Dragon’ you’ve only failed if you believe you’ve failed,’ he proclaimed ‘Your right,’ she replied and sighed she looked up at him ‘You mustn’t let you hatred and anger cloud you judgement, or you’ll be defeated,’ he stated ‘Know go!’ Mallory moaned in Kimberly’s arms, she squinted her eyes open and looked up at her. “Am sorry,” she said quietly Kimberly looked at her and she was sure for a second she saw the old Mallory she once knew before their parents died. Mallory got up from the ground, she rose to her feet. “What are you doing!?” yelled Dragonaus Mallory never replied, she walked toward him. “Shit!” muttered Shadow “The spell has been broken!” “What?!” growled Dragonaus “Aww! But we jus’ got here man and it was jus’ getting good,” moaned Chameleon They all disappeared in a glow. “Pathetic,” muttered Mallory she looked around all the other ducks all surrounded her their weapons drawn at her ready to fire. But she ignored them and walked right through them, “No don’t she back to normal,” yelped Kimberly jumping infront of them. They put away their weapons with hesitation but they put them away in the end. Later Mallory stood on the roof her arms crossed her eyes closed she was thinking to herself when she heard footsteps coming from behind. “Mallory?” asked the first voice from behind it was Wildwing “You knew they were coming didn’t you?” “Hmm,” is all they got from her. “But how?” asked the second it was Duke “I don’t know it’s like a sense I’ve got,” Mallory tried to explain “I’ve always get a strange feeling when something isn’t right,” she looked over toward Nosedive. “Don’t even think it!” “What?!” he piped up “You think I am capable of that?” “Da ya really want me ta answer that?” she asked with a evil smile growing across her beak. “No!” “Hmm, I thought so,” she smile Mallory turned back toward the city she looked out into the distance then closed her eyes then lowered her head and sighed and thought for a second. ‘Is he right, no he is right. Kimberly climbed up toward the roof, she looked around. “Mallory?” she called she got up to the door then gasped at what she found. "STAY HERE!" she growled then ran at the Drones and started to fight them one by one they went down, Nosedive watched from afar that someone was sneaking up on Mallory. Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons Part 10 “Dragon?” Mallory was thrown into a wall dead hard, her body ached as she slowly got up, her head ached with pain. Her legs wobbled like jelly, as she tried to stand up straight, blood splattered the metal ground of the Raptor. Shadow’s laughs deafened Nosedive’s ears as he watched Mallory get thrown across the room once more. “MALLORY!!” he yelled “YOU CAN’T LOSE TO HIM!” Mallory looked over toward him, her sight blurred, she slowly got to her knees, she coughed up blood she stood firmly on the ground. “Shadow where’s the honour in this?” asked Mallory she coughed Nosedive quickly ran over to her side. “Mallory stop it you’re going to get yourself killed,” he shook her “Nosedive get away from me!” she grunted in pain “No!” he argued “You heard her get AWAY!” Shadow’s voice roared Nosedive was thrown into a wall he slumped to the ground unconious. Mallory turned back, to look to see where Shadow was but he was still cloaked. ‘Mallory’ said a voice a familiar one Mallory stood frozen in her tracks, then was lifted up in the air then thrown to the ground something smashed down on her ribs she felt them cracking she cried out in pain. ‘Don’t let him beat you,’ said the voice ‘If he believes in you then so do I you’ve got to stop him,’ ‘Master?’ her eyes widened as she gasped for air, but her ribs were making it hard for her to breathe. ‘I can’t move,’ she squinted her eyes as pain rushed through her body like knifes stabbing her body. ‘Mallory believe in yourself you were made a ‘Dragon’ cause you were fighter that fought with, honour, will, bravery, Integrity, Loyalty, Compassion and all those things that’s what makes you a ‘Dragon’,’ said the voice sternly ‘You can beat him, your stronger than he is,’ Mallory’s eyes closed as she fell to the dark tunnel of unconious. ‘When the time is right you’ll beat him,’ said the voice ****************************************************************** Dragonaus turned around to see Shadow come in, with two unconious ducks. “They tried to escape,” started Shadow “But how?” asked the warlord “The Shadow arts must be, strong in her,” replied Shadow throwing her to the floor followed by Nosedive. “So our little duck is part thieve,” snarled Dragonaus “She said once before when she was getting trained she’d be trained in the Kai Miyu, Karouda, Shadow and Draciana’s Arts.” Exclaimed Shadow “She’s had extended training in those Arts, she was brought up to be the prefect solider,” “Interesting,” mused Dragonaus as he walked over to the unconious duck “She’s as strong as you say?” “Yes,” replied Shadow “But her heart is pure and it’s hard to control a pure hearted fighter like her,” “I don’t care,” hissed Dragonaus “She’ll will obey, me I don’t care what it takes,” “Your nuts you saw what happened the last time you tried to control her,” choked Shadow “Do whatever you must do,” said the Saurian turning around to walk back to the bridge. He kicked her onto her back, she gave a small groan. ‘Pathetic,’ he thought “Shadow,” groaned the weak voice of Mallory “You’re a… Traitor too your people,” He stomped over to her and yanked her head back by her hair. “Mind repeating that again?” he sneered in her ear. “You heard me,” as weak smile grew across her beak. “Your afraid of me,” she taunted He growled in anger as he kicked her again. She, slowly got to her feet, she laughed at him. “You’ll never get rid of me,” she said her teeth “I will live on,” “Not when I get through with you!” he ran at her he slammed her into the nearest wall pinning her to it. “Dragonaus maybe not see it,” started Shadow “But I do,” “Is that right?” she mocked him “You can’t be controlled,” he muttered “Hmm that’s right,” she smirked “Like you said am a pure hearted Fighter,” He grabbed her by the throat, his grip getting tighter on her throat. “That’s right kill me like you killed… Snow!” she choked “I didn’t kill her!” he yelled “Shadow look at you… you’ve killed me, for nothing,” she gasped “Snow killed herself cause of you!” “No!” he yelled ****************************************************************** A dark and stormy night, rain poured down on the three drenching them. Jason growled as he gripped young Mallory’s throat. A bewildered Snow watched her brother strangle the younger duck. “Stop this!” she cried through hot tears “This isn’t right!” Jason spun around he looked at his teenage sister a scornful glare. “Stop it your hurting her!” she ran up to her brother. “Snow she’ll will die for what has done!” he yelled “What has she done to deserve this?!” she asked in disgusted “She was dissonant!” he snarled “You killed her only family!” she cried “That’s why!” The Hazel brown eyes, caught her attention. They were misted she was dying Snow saw it in her eyes. Jason threw Mallory into Snow both of them fell off the edge a cliff Mallory barely grabbed onto cliff, she managed to grab Snow aswell. Jason’s eyes widened. “SNOW!!” he cried “Hang ON!!” Mallory tried hold onto Snow and the cliff at the same time, but she was still too weak to hold onto her and the cliff, Jason had beaten her pretty badly. “Hang on Snow!” called young Mallory “Mallory I can’t hold on!” yelped Snow as losing her grip, of Mallory hand. “SNOW!” Jason yelled But she couldn’t hold on much longer she lost her grip of Mallory’s hand and plunged to her death. The young Mallory watched her disappear into the darkness her eyes widened in fear, as she listened to blood curdling scream until it was stopped. She looked up at Jason, his eyes were full of anger and fear as he watched the whole thing happen. “McMallard am gonna kill you!” he yelled She looked down it was too steep to skid down, she had no option, but to go down. But Jason decided too jump her from her current position but he missed her by a few meters she watch him fall to his death. She slowly climbed up to the top of the cliff, she was breathing heavily, her ribs were broken, she hardly had any strength in her, her blood soaked the ground that she lay on, she soon fell into unconious darkness. ****************************************************************** “What did you do!” he asked he voice shaking “Nothing,” she replied as his grip got slacker on her throat. “WHAT DID YOU DO!!” he roared “Shadow that’s just one of the bad memories that I remember. Each of these bad memories kill part of me every time they come. ” she began “Shadow you’ve got to stop Dragonaus,” she fell to her knees “But you’re the ‘Dragon’ you’ve gotta do it!” he stared blankly into her Hazel Brown eyes. “Dragon is just a name,” she smiled softly “You were given the name ‘Shadow’ cause of what you are,” “Cause of what you are?” he repeated “Yes your name represents ‘Leader of the Night’ you were trained in more than the Karouta and Karouda I know you just said those to because you didn’t want the cops on you!” she coughed His eyes widened “I know but ‘Dragon’ is the rewarded to the best of the Martial Arts, in the four Arts,” he bit back. “Dragonaus is using you, he brought the suffering to our people,” she exclaimed “You have too…,” she swallowed “Stop him at all costs,” Shadow looked at the battered duck on the ground she as she coughed up more blood onto the cold metal floor of the Raptor. “What have I done?” he whispered “You’ve held onto revenge for so long that it has corrupted your soul,” she replied she slowly slumped to the ground breathing heavily. Shadow looked at her, then took off in the other direction when he heard Dragonaus. “Should I go after him boss?” asked Seige “No forget him,” sneered Dragonaus “We’ve got prepare for the other ducks arrival” He looked at the two ducks, he looked at Mallory, his eyes narrowed at her. “Take them away,” ****************************************************************** Wildwing scanned the streets of Anaheim with the Mask, but couldn’t find any trace of Mallory or Nosedive. “LOOK OUT!” yelped Tanya Duke stomped down on the brake, the Migrator skidded to a stop not far from the shadowy figure. “YOU!” growled Millory “Where’s Mallory and Nosedive?” “I’ll show you,” he began “Only if you’ll trust me,” They looked at each other, but let him show them. “You’ve got to listen to me,” he began “Mallory is in bad shape she’s really weak,” “What about Nosedive?” asked Wildwing “He’s fine,” replied Shadow “How badly is Mallory?” asked Kimberly “Real bad, I fear she might die,” he admitted “It’s all my fault,” Millory pinned him to the back of the Migrator. “What do you mean!” her eyes were full of anger, as she pushed him again. “I got her in that state,” he replied His eyes met Millory for a second but then he looked away. Millory drew her blade without warning Duke grabbed her from behind. “Millory no don’t!” he ordered “Am not going too hurt her anymore,” he pleaded “Mallory told me that, I shouldn’t give up hope,” “You promise you won’t hurt her!” growled Millory “I promise,” he replied Millory put away her sword, but she didn’t still trust him. “You’re just like Mallory,” he grinned “Hrmp!” she huffed “Stop here!” he said “Follow me they’ll be just waiting for you too take the front way,” he jumped out. “If you get Mallory hurt anymore I swear I’ll kill you!” growled Millory “Whoa not if I get to him first Mil!” snarled Mellory pulling out a throwing knife. “Okay keep it down!” ordered Wildwing ****************************************************************** “Where are they?” whined Chameleon “Are you sure there coming?” “Sure they are they would never let these two die,” laughed Seige Nosedive had woken up not long ago, he looked over toward the Saurians then to Mallory she wasn’t doing to well atoll. “Hang on Mal?” he whispered Mallory looked at him strangely then smiled “Am not going anywhere,” she replied He looked at her, then grinned. “I know you don’t back down that easily,” he said “How you doing over there?” “Okay I guess,” she replied “But boy do I have a head ache.” “With all knocks to the head you’ve got in last few months am surprised you haven’t got amnesia,” he half joked. She smiled back but it soon disappeared. “What’s the deal with that guy Shadow?” he asked curiosity filled his eyes. “Just an old enemy,” she replied “He was in the same Martial Arts school as me.” She explained “He has always hated me.” She smiled “But he has changed,” Nosedive looked at her, he could sense that she was, in pain every word spoken so far had pain in it. He knew all the others story’s but Mallory was the one that kept silent which told him she had been through so much in her life, pain, sorrow, and bloodshed she had seen it all. ‘But what this all about what is a ‘Dragon’ what does this guy called Shadow why did he call her that?’ he wondered. “Mallory what did he mean by ‘Dragon’?” asked Nosedive “It’s was… I mean my fighting name,” she replied “I was given it, when my Master trained me in the Karouda,” she replied “Yeah but what does it mean,” “Honour, Courage, Strength, Will, bravery, Integrity, Loyalty, and Compassion. The way of the ‘Dragon’,” she replied “When I was unconious I heard him say something about you being brought up to be the Prefect Soldier,” started Nosedive She looked down at the floor. “That’s one thing I never really want to remember,” she replied “Why?” he asked “Because, Nosedive I don’t want to talk about it,” she sighed “Why not?” he urged “Because it’s too painful, my memories haunt me Nosedive, of that time in the past.” “Mallory your eyes never change, the same emotionless look in your eyes has been there since the day we met,” he exclaimed “When they trained me to be the Prefect Soldier, they made sure I would never show any emotion ever again,” she choked Nosedive looked at her, somehow he felt sorry for her, not knowing what to do, and the only thing he could do was stare at her. “You mean you don’t feel emotions toward anything?” he asked with hesitation. She nodded in replied “Well may if you tell me maybe you’ll feel better?” he implied “Nosedive, why would want to know?” she asked her eyes took on no emotions. “Because Mal?” he started “If you don’t tell someone your going to live a life of Sorrow forever,” She leaned against the wall of the cell she lent her head back. “When they found me I was bearly alive,” she started “They took me away from the streets but at a price…” Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Part 11 “The Perfect Soldier” Note: Flashes in and out memories. A teenage Mallory looked up from her cell, in an underground base, a lot of the Ducks passing were dressed in black or were wearing Military Uniforms. ‘Why am I here?’ she asked herself She heard the door open up she looked up to see a tall Duck with beige feathers walk into the cell. She grabbed Mallory by the wrists, and handcuffed them behind her back. They came to a small room, a heat lamp lit the room. “What’s your name kid?” asked the duck She looked at her then closed her eyes then sighed. “Mallory McMallard,” she replied Mallory lent forward. “Look why am I here?” “I cannot answer that,” replied the Duck “Why not?” asked Mallory “Because you are not meant too know,” she replied Then two big Drakes walked into the room. “Take her to the Lab,” said the duck as she walked “What?!” she yelped “Oh no, no, no no-one is operating on me, as long as I am alive,” “That could be arranged,” snarled one of the Drakes. “Eh no that’s okay,” with a sheepish grin. Next thing she knew she was unconious. When she awoke, she squinted her eyes open, her head ached. She tilted her head to the side she saw someone in the far corner of the room. She tried to get up, but she couldn’t. ‘Great this is like outta of some Frankenstein movie,’ she thought bitterly. The Duck turned around their face was covered up so that she couldn’t see them. “Started de-emotionlizer,” said the Duck in stern voice. “What?!” Mallory yelped. “Know, know don’t worry it’ll be over in a hour or so,” he said narrowing his eyes. From in the other room were the inspectors watched they could her the cries of pain and agony. “Do you really think making this one into ‘The Prefect Soldier’ will work?” asked one of them “Sure am sure,” replied a Doctor “She’s the perfect candidate, for this,” “But how can you be sure?” asked another one “She is a ‘Dragon’ the best of the best fighters in the planet,” said the Doctor “What could be better? She would be unstoppable she would have no equal,” “But do really think taking her emotions away is a good idea?” said the first inspector “We can’t let emotion get in the way of her,” a smiled across his beak “Besides why would fighter like a ‘Dragon’ want to have emotions anyway?” “But she could become confused? And hurt herself?” proclaimed second inspector “That’s a chance am willing to make,” replied the Doctor ****************************************************************** Nosedive looked at her, strangely, he knew Mallory didn’t really like sharing her thoughts. “Man that musta been nasty,” he said a look of sadness in his eyes soon disappeared. “Nosedive,” she started “You don’t know what I felt,” but nothing really showed “Life as what it is was when I was younger was stripped away from me, after what they turned me into,” ****************************************************************** “Doctor something WRONG!” yelled the Doctor from the operation room. “WHAT?!” he asked “We’re losing her!” the Doctor yelped “We can’t lose her!” he rushed into the operating room. “Looks like the operation to make the Emotionless ‘Prefect Soldier’ is failing at this point of the game,” said the first inspector. “You can’t really take emotions from life its part of the sub-conious” replied second inspector. “Maybe we are not ready to play god with such young ducks, but it was worth it for the research,” mused the inspector. “Hey wake up!” yelled the Doctor in charge. *********************************************************** “I could hear everything going on,” sighed Mallory “But I didn’t want to hear them,” “Man that musta been…neah ya know,” said Nosedive with weak grin but it soon disappeared. “The pain was unbearable, I couldn’t stand it any longer, I nearly died on that bed.” *********************************************************** “AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!” cries of pain ran through them like a knife cutting through the air. “She’s back!” sighed the Doctor in charge of the operating room. “Good,” said the other Doctor that was in the other room. Mallory squinted her eyes open, pain rushed through her body as she tilted her head to the side. “Looks as if we’ll have to start again,” mutter the Doctor “Feelings are for weaklings,” growled the Doctor in her ear. Mallory looked at him, her eyes closed tightly in pain a lone tear rolled off her face and onto the bed. “That is another thing we must get rid of,” sighed the Doctor in charge. “By the time we’re through with you, you won’t have to worry about anything,” he sneered. ****************************************************************** “Another way they stopped me having emotions that they loved to do was beat me up,” “They beat you up?” asked Nosedive shocked Mallory nodded in reply. ****************************************************************** Mallory rolled onto her back, as she lay on the floor breathing heavily, she was exhausted and tired. With every blow she slowed down. “Feeling’s are for the WEAK!” growled one of the other fighters fighting her as she was kicked across the face. Blood dripped down her face and onto the ground, her head was aching. She fell to her knees unable to get up. “That’s enough!” ordered the man in Charge Two of the Drakes dragged her back to the cell she could no longer take much more of this, she had been there for nearly 2 years and nothing but pain she had felt since she was brought there. They threw her into the cells she lay there, still the only sign that gave them that she was still alive was the few muttered words under her breath. The door swung open, a duck walk up to her bent over. She brushed the hair out of Mallory’s eyes. All the Duck saw was a pained expression in her eyes nothing else, she kind of felt sorry for all the Ducks and Drakes after what they’ve went through in a day. “Hey are you okay?” she asked her Mallory’s eyes were bearly open, she closed them. “I guess not,” she said with a sigh “They really over did it with you didn’t they?” Still Mallory refused to talk. *********************************************************** “For some reason she always tried to get through to me, I guess I was in too much pain too listen to her,” sighed Mallory she shifted her weight a bit. “Mallory are you okay?” asked Nosedive “Yeah…am fine,” replied Mallory “So what happened after that?” asked Nosedive She looked up for a second, then sighed. *********************************************************** “Hey come on cheer up,” she smiled Mallory looked at her oddly then frowned. “Leave me alone,” muttered Mallory “So you do speak,” joked the duck “Oh really is that what that’s called?” replied Mallory sarcastically “Your very sarcastic aren’t you,” she mused “You look miserable,” she said looking at Mallory “You think!” she scoffed mockingly “Do you know what they do to us in there?” her eyes showed no emotions in them. “Yeah,” she admitted with a sigh. “They beat you and operate on you in there to make you into emotionless Zombies,” Mallory looked at her, then turned away. “Do you know why I come back the worst of them?” she asked her eyes closed her arms crossed. “No,” she replied “I don’t listen to them,” she slowly stood up. “They think am a disobeying bitch!” she growled “I don’t want to be like the others,” she nearly yelled “I want to be myself,” she sighed. She looked at her, but she always saw the pained look in her eyes every time she came to fix her up. “Am sorry,” she whispered “This is all to be the ‘Prefect Soldier’ no one should have the right to do this to anyone,” proclaimed Mallory as she walked to the bars of the cell. Later that night Mallory had managed to escape the cell she crept around trying to find the way out of this place. She climb up into a vent she crawled around for a bit, she heard voices below her. “Tomorrow we kill off that ‘Dragon’ she is getting out of hand,” it was the Doctor in charge of the base. “Are you sure you want too?” asked a second voice “Yes am sure she isn’t making any progress she refuses to listen,” replied the Doctor. ‘Ha you can’t kill me if you can’t get me,’ mused Mallory as she crawled down the vent. She came to the end of the vent she jumped out of vent. She looked around, she listened to everything, going on around her she ran down the hall. ‘Oh great!’ she thought and quickly took out the guards before they hit the alarms. She quickly slipped out of the base. ****************************************************************** “You escaped without been seen,” asked Nosedive “Man who taught you Duke?” Mallory allowed a smile for a moment but it soon disappeared “Is that enough about my past yet Nosedive?” she sighed He nodded, then looked out into the hall. “Where’s the others?” he sighed “I don’t know,” replied Mallory Just then they heard an explosion not faraway from them. “It took them long enough,” muttered Nosedive Mallory didn’t answer him, he looked around to face her, he crawled over to her. “Mal?” he whispered but got no answer he tried to shake her awake but was unsuccessful. “Don’t you go dying on me Mal,” Just then they heard someone run down the hall. It was Tanya she nearly ran by them. “Tanya!” yelled Nosedive after her. “Nosedive hang on,” she replied she melted away she open door. “Tanya! Mallory was awake not long ago but she just well ya know!” he didn’t make such sense to her but she understood what he meant. “She’s lost a lot of blood, internal bleeding, broken ribs she’s real bad.” she replied “How long has she been like this?” asked Tanya “About half an hour,” he replied “Am okay,” muttered a weak voice “Mal?” they both said together Mallory slowly got to her feet, she limped abit when she walked. “Mallory you shouldn’t be walking,” said Tanya “Am fine,” she took off down the hall. “What’s the…?” Tanya started but was cut off. “Never mind Tanya long story cum on!” he took off following Mallory. Tanya soon followed them down the hall. Wildwing looked up from were he was he saw the door on the far end open up. ‘Finally’ he thought Dragonaus spun around, too see the three ducks, he growled when he saw Mallory standing there with them. He charged at them he was going in for the attack but Mallory stood in front of them and threw him into the wall. “Don’t even think about it!” she growled “You’ll never get rid of me so easily Lizard Lips!” Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons Part 12 “Final thoughts” Mallory looked up to see Dragonaus getting up, but he was soon down again on the ground after being kicked in the face. “Am gonna rip you apart Duck!” he snarled Mallory spat the blood that dribbled from her mouth to the floor. He swung at her but she easily dodged it with ease then jumped up into the air into a Roundhouse kick to the chest. He dropped his knees choking up blood then looked up at her. She had a mocking grin on her beak, she waited till he was on his feet once again. “You’ll pay for that!” sneered Dragonaus “We’ll see,” scoffed Mallory “WAIT!” they all looked up to see Shadow there. “He’s mine Mallory!” he growled Mallory stepped aside as he ran at him and kicked him in the face. He smashed through the wall. “I’ll teach you Dragonaus to leave our people alone,” growled Shadow as he pinned him to the wall. But he disappeared and so did the other Saurians. Mallory fell to the her knees, choking up blood. “Mallory!” yelped Kimberly as she ran over to her “Are you okay?” she asked “Yeah,” replied Mallory with a smile A few days later Mallory was better, she stood on top of the roof thinking. ‘Why did he listen to me?’ she wondered ‘Maybe he finally realised that, revenge wasn’t the way’ she rested her head on her hands ‘Shadow, why did ya help me?’ the thought had been in her mind ever since the battle. ‘He had sworn he would kill me but he hasn’t.’ Mallory sighed ‘He’ll be back to kill me one day,’ ‘The day he killed Master Nataku, was when he really lost it and set to become the master of the Karouda and the Karouta,’ she slowly got up a breeze came out of nowhere and blow her hair in her eyes, She closed her eyes, she crossed her arms. ‘ Master why did he help me?’ asked herself know she wouldn’t get answer, but was surprised when she did get one. The voice she heard before, she recognised it. ‘Because he finally put his hatred behind him, and finally found himself because of you,’ replied the voice echoed in her head then disappeared. She smiled “May you rest in peace Master Nataku,” she whispered then turned around to go back down the stairs. ‘Good luck young ‘Dragon’,’ She turned away then smiled she sighed as she walked down the stairs to the base. Up on a building the shadowy figure watched from a building as she went into the pond. ‘Thank you Mallory ‘Dragon’ McMallard,” he whispered “You are true fighter without a doubt,” He then looked up at the sky then sighed “Snow am sorry,” he said before he disappeared into the shadows.
