For all who'd like to try: here's an exclusive Millimodell for you to download and print. For a 1/500 scale model please make sure, that the size of the dowloaded pic is 242x53 pixels. Lines indicate where to cut, dashed lines where to fold. At the frontal area of the vehicle, cut once beneath the windscreen to seperate it from the engine area before you fold. The engine cover is at the opposite side of the picture.

What are Millimodelle?

Millimodelle are hand made miniatures in 1/500 and 1/1000 scale and therefore well suited for designing and arranging dioramas, e.g. scenes on model airports with Herpa Wings models or diecast scale models from other manufacturers.
The Millimodelle range in 1/1000 scale covers aircraft of different type, manufacturer and airline as well as a nice variety of different vehicles you can see on an airport - fuel and catering trucks as well as small "follow me"-cars. In 1/500 scale Millimodelle offer a broad variety of vehicles (construction trucks, busses, fire engines, police cars, military vehicles and tanks,...) and even trains and street cars in different kinds of design.

Especially aircraft in 1/1000 and trains in 1/500 scale may be of some interest, because similar models are often hard - if not impossible - to find elsewhere. Due to the broad range of models, Millimodelle are of some interest for model constructors and collectors and give you dioramas and models a special touch of individuality and singularity.

How are Millimodelle created?

Millimodelle are hand made exclusively upon individual order, giving you the possibility to get the models in exactly that shape and colour or livery you desire. Due to this process of creation, small deviations concerning shape and colour are normal, making each Millimodell unique.

The used scale and the small dimensions of the models of only a few centi- or even millimetres sometimes result in unavoidable simplifications. Nevertheless, the conversion from the original into the model is made as detailed as possible; some 1/500 scale models consist of up to more than ten different parts.

What are Millimodelle made of?

The used materials are varying and depend on the kind and scale of the model. Used materials are wood, plastic and paper, but also metal. The colouring of the models also depends on the used materials and is mostly made by acryl colors and other non water-solubly colors. E.g.:

Vehicles in 1/500 scale are mostly made of plastic and paper and finished with acryl colors.
1/1000 scale aircraft are made of wood or plastic and also paper. Apart from the colouring with acryl colors, windows and liveries of vertical stabilizers are made with color printed paper.
Trains and street cars (and also busses) are made of color printed paper with some added details made of wood.
