BERGAMOT This is an uplifting oil An unusual citrus fruit from Italy, with a floral, fruity fragrance.A refreshing powerful anti-depressant. This oil is better used in a Room Burner as sunlight can cause the skin pigmentation to change in patches. Diluted and used to massage the stomach area, it can aid gastric disorders. Very helpful for PMT, travel sickness and psoriasis. CHAMOMILE This is a calming/soothing oil One of the most suitable oils to be used for children, it can help resolve insomnia, temper tantrums, colic, indegestion etc. It is an excellent oil to use if you have sensitive skin, burns, boils, eczema. It also helps to build resistance to infections. Ideal for bruises, aching joints, sleeping problems. CEDARWOOD This is a relaxing/soothing oil Godd for treating blemished or oily skin and scalp problems, including dandruff, greasy hair and alopecia. Reccommended as an insect repellant. It also help ease the symptoms of coughs, colds and flu. Powerful antiseptic used particularly for bronchial and urinary tract infections. CLARYSAGE Sedative/rejuvenating A very relaxing oil, is good as a nerve tonic. This oil is very helpful in covalescence and insomnia. It also contains Hormone re-regulators, so it is good for treating PMT, painful periods and post natal depression. CYPRESS This is an invigorating oil It has a fresh woody fragrance, and makes a very refreshing bath oil. It is especially good when veins have become enlarged, massaged around the area (Not on it). EUCALYPTUS Stimulating oil This is a superb antiseptic oil. When diluted it can be used in the treatment of burns and wounds. Widely used in the cold season it helps you breath more easily. Clears the head from the stuffy feeling that comes with colds, flu and catarrh. LAVENDER Soothing/healing This is probably the best know and most used of the Essential oils. It is the most useful oil to ahve in the home first aid kit. This oil is suitable for the entire family, including babies and the elderly.Lavender is well known for relieving tension, and is ecellent for easing aches and pains which are borne of stress. Lavender is also helpful for children who have difficulty sleeping or are very energetic, as it relaxes the body, promoting good restful sleep, this in turn helps strengthen the body's immune system and gives energy allowing you to cope better with the trial of the day. This oil is good for anything which needs pain relieving such as insect bites, stings, sores, spots and burns. The effect it has on burns is almost magical. A drop of lavender on a bud of cotton wool will ease earache. Sadly there is not enough space to tell you about all the benefits of using this oil!. TI-TREE Cleansing/antiseptic Ti-tree is very similar to Lavender in that it has many uses. It comes from an Australian tree which gets its name from Captain Cooks sailors who brewed the leaves to make a refreshing change from their normal drink. This oil is one of the most researched of the essential oils, and one of the most useful in terms of antiseptic qualities. Used in the bath at the first sign of a cold and the first signs of thruch or cystitus, it help clear the conditions very quickly. Also good for treating athletes foot, cold sores, warts and boils! These are only a few of the conditions helped by this oil. In Australia it has been used as an antidote for the poison of the funnel web spider. Although i would reccomend seeking medical advice also if this ever happens to you!! YLANG YLANG Relaxing/soothing/aphrodisiac Used widely in the perfume industry, this oil is well known as an aphrodisiac. This sensual oil soothes, relaxes and uplifts the spirit. It is also an excellent skin care oil, suitable for all skin types.# Use at night to aid restful sleep. It reduces a rapid heartbeat and high blood pressure although too much can cause headaches.
