92nd St. Y Hosts B'way Legends Neil Simon, Jerry Zaks Oct. 28

NEW YORK - The 92nd Street Y is giving Broadway fans a chance to hear Neil Simon and other talents behind the forthcoming new comedy, 45 Seconds From Broadway as part of the “Broadway Talks” series.

Playwright Simon, director Jerry Zaks and producer Emanuel Azenberg will discuss Simon’s new play Oct. 28 at 7:30 PM. The discussion will be led by Jesse McKinley, a culture reporter for The New York Times.

45 Seconds from Broadway takes place in the Edison Cafe, a.k.a. the “Polish Tea Room” in the Hotel Edison on 47th Street in the Broadway theatre district. The show is directed by Zaks and produced by Azenberg. It's currently in previews, planning to open Nov. 11.

Simon’s last work to hit the Broadway stage was The Dinner Party, which closed Sept. 1.

Tickets for the lecture costs $22 and can be ordered through Telecharge or by visiting the 92nd street Y box office at 1395 Lexington Ave.

Upcoming lectures in the “Broadway Talks” series will center on Mamma Mia! in November and Thoroughly Modern Millie in December.
