Monday

-Cooperative group lesson on “How Our Classroom Should Look and Feel.”

We will discuss and chart out our ideas.  We will post our chart prominently on a classroom wall for the entire year. This will remind us how to act so we can have a great year!

Tuesday

-Literature-based lesson on how to create a self-portrait.

We will be learning about self-portraits as an introduction to our lesson for Wednesday.

Wednesday

-Lesson on “Friends” (see lesson plan link on home page)

Students will each create a self-portrait and a writing piece describing why they are a good friend.

Thursday

-Math Survey

Students will participate in a math lesson by conducting a survey of the students in our classroom. We will find out   everybody’s favorite: movie, food, animal, school subject, and book.

Friday

-Create an “All about Me” page using Kidspiration software and PowerPoint. We will create our own class

“book” to post on our website! Click Here to see a sample page.

-Write “All about Me” acrostic poems     (Poem lesson plan)

*Poem Maker  (interactive site we will go to- will help us create our poems)

We will also celebrate our classmates and share our projects from the entire week!
