| Ananas Noire: 80-85 days. Considered a black tomato, it seems more of a tricolor. The name meaning "Black Pineapple" in French, this tomato features a kaleidoscope of colors going from dark red to green with shades of yellow in between. When sliced, the flesh is bright green with deep crimson streaks of color. The flavor is sweet and smoky, said to change within the same fruit. One of Annette's favorites for 2006. What great flavor--it really did seem different in different parts, perhaps from texture change too. Most maters were huge, and the marbling inside was beautiful |

| Paul Robeson: 65-70 days. Indeterminate. Like other 'black' tomatoes, its color is closer to a dusky dark red with dark green shoulders. Fruits are app. 6 oz, borne 2 to a cluster. Another fantastically-flavored black tomato. | Black Sea Man: 80 days, Indeterminate. Potato-leafed. A heavy producer of lovely medium-sized reddish-brown flattened fruit with green shoulders and white veining. Great rich flavor. OK, ok, I'll post a photo of the real tomato! It's just a name that's very silly, so I thought I'd go with it. Really great flavor, and it may beat out Black Krim as my favorite black tomato. |
