This is where it all began - the Town of Ulster Wednesday night league. The team included many long time players, including Derek Snyder, Tony Troccia, John Finch, Jimmy Dixon, George Resso and Lance Gilbert. Thrown together at the last minute, the team struggled to have any consistency as it basically had a different lineup each game. At one point, the team went six consecutive games without scoring a run and did not go the full seven innings until the 10^th game of the season. The season ended on a high note – a 23-19 loss to Riccardi’s, in a game where the "Lightning" scored more runs than the rest of their entire season.
