MFA IRON MAN

MFA Iron Man     Now I'd like to introduce MFA Iron Man, one of the models of the 2008 BF Celebration Horse, Alborozo. Like Alborozo, Iron Man is a gorgeous gray Andalusian. He's really a very lovely boy in person; pictures never do a model justice. I like to think that each Alborozo is a OOAK model since the color and shading varies by horse, no matter how minutely.

Iron Man got his name from two sources: my nerd-like love of the Iron Man movie starring Robert Downey Jr. (who was absolutely perfect for the role, I might add, as was the entire cast) and this boy's gray color. What better thing to name a gray horse than "Iron Man"?

Iron Man, like a few of my other horses, showed in the 2008 BreyerFest Youth Show, Celebration Horse class. He didn't place, but that was all right by me. When the judge called us all back to explain how she'd chosen the ribbon winners, I saw what she meant and agreed totally with her picks. The first-place horse absolutely deserved that honor. As beautiful as I think my Iron Man is, that horse had something extra special that the judge noticed!
