Rick - B-rok. Brian Littrell of Backstreet Boys on the line.

Brian - Good morning everybody. how ya doin?

Rick - Well fine Brian. how's everything with you?

Brian - Everything is lovely.

Rick - ... I want you to tell the world how to pronounce your name.

Brian - It's actually pronounced "littrell"... everybody in school would say "littreell" and I would say no it's "littrell".

Rick - ... Now Brian is in the midst of doing a lot of stuff. They've got soundtracks they're working on. Now please confirm, you're back on the road on the 24th?

Brian - yes, yes. the Backstreet Boys will be back on the road I think in Milwaukee on the 24th of this month. AJ is doing uh quite well actually. which is good news to everybody for sure all of our fans. We're really looking forward to it. It'll run until the end of October then we'll assess to either hitting the far east or going to Europe or who knows. *chuckles*

Rick - Super! Now let's get Alex on tour with you guys and not AJ, ok?!

Brian - Yeah! yeah, yeah, yeah...

Rick - Here are the rules I want you to tell him: no more tattoos..

Brian - *laugh* ok..

Rick - ... I want him to go to bed before 12:30..

Brian - That's fine. I don't think he has anymore room on his skin.

Rick - And he does have such a soulful sound to his singing voice doesn't he?

Brian - Yeah he does.

Rick - He really does have that.. and you do too. because it's interesting. Kevin Richardson says "hey guys I have a cousin that sings." Everybody says that! But he was right! You really do sing! And you really are his cousin! L

Brian - Yeah we're first cousins. We grew up together. I think everybody in the group compliments each other well vocally I think.

Rick - I like that dancer you hired. This is in the new show. She comes down on this pole in the middle of the stage. Her name is leighanne.

Brian - *laughing*

Rick - Leighanne the pole dancer. She's fantastic!

Brian - *laughing* Come on Rick! Come on Rick!

Rick - Tell Leighanne we said hi too. She's so talented. So beautiful. How're your little baby puppies? Is everything good?

Brian - They are. They are WONDERFUL. We're out here in Los Angeles right now. And just enjoying some of the sunshine and uh, I'm trying to get Rick out on the golf course but our schedules are kinda conflicting.

Rick - I can only play once a day.

*all laugh*

Rick - It's terrible. Now I asked him this weekend "does your wife play golf?" and he says "I don't know. I've never asked her." Isn't that awful? That was this weekend. I wanted to take a swing at him. But Brian listen, I know your working on a couple of soundtracks and this and this and that. Who does the writing? Is it done outside then they bring it to you guys?

Brian - For uh..

Rick - For Backstreet Boys..

Brian - For BACKSTREET BOYS, well actually for Millennium I cowrite 3 of the songs.

Rick - Which ones are those?

Brian - I'll be the one, Larger than life and I wrote and produced the perfect fan. a song that I wrote for my Mom.

Rick - It's fabulous..

Brian - And on Black and Blue, the Backstreet Boys did uh, we wrote a song called 'Time'. That's track number 9.. Howie wrote a couple; 'How did I fall in love with you' and another one. So we actually pull from all different sources. All different writers. you know, All over the world pretty much. You kinda submit and tell 'em what you're looking for and if something suits you, you know we can obviously understand if it's going to be the best for us or not.

Rick - Sure. You can change it around maybe a little bit.. You're so talented..

Brian - Yeah, we change things around. modify a little bit.. but I mean, it's better. I think it's better coming from us as artists because we know what our sound is and we know what we're looking for so we're all growing as artists and we're looking forward to writing more stuff for more records.

Rick - Boy I love your writing. Do you smell like Safari now? Have you had a little spray of Safari cologne around your earlobes for me?

Brian - *silence*

Rick - I..I..I knew he'd hang up on me if I said that. I've got this list in front of me that says Brian's favorite cologne is Safari.. I bet you didn't even know that yourself did ya?

Brian - I didn't know that. I didn't know that. Actually I don't wear cologne..

Rick - You don't wear cologne?

Brian - No, no I don't wear cologne.

Rick - Now that's odd. I would've have sworn you had some fragrance.

Brian - *laugh* No, you were actually sniffing the person next to me the last time we saw each other.

Rick - ... She's so beautiful... that lady: ..the pole dancer..

Rick - Leighanne the pole dancer... Listen, do you have a favorite soap? So there's no fragrance at all to Brian littrell?

Brian - Uh, favorite soap actually would be the dove body wash.

Rick - *laughing* See I knew it!

Brian - That's nice..

Rick - Thank you. *Quit playing games begins playing in the background* Hey buddy, can't wait to see you soon alright?

Brian - Thanks so much and quit playing games with my dove body wash (cute) alright?

Rick - Yay! that's Brian littrell!
