CONGRATULATIONS to Nick carter of the Backstreet Boys for being voted the new Pop Star President by the readers of BLAST! In what was a tight election from the early stages of primary voting, Nick Carter came out victorious against some tough competition. Lance Bass, Christina Aguilera and fellow Bsb'er Brain Littrell all had strong showings in the final election, but when the thousands of votes were counted, Nick came out on top.
So get ready for reign of this young pop superstar who has support from his boys, as well as his famous family; it's sure to be fun. We're sure that Nick will continue to represent us well in the coming year and wish him the best of luck. We also want to thank the other participants, who should be able to hold their heads up high. This has been a great experience for all of us at BLAST! and we hope you enjoyed it too-and maybe even learned a little bit about the electoral process and hard-line politics. Hail to the chief, and long live the union of pop for which it stands.
