Nickolas Gene Carter:

Nickolas Gene Carter was born on january 28 1980 in Jamestown NY,to Bob and Jane Carter,Nick was their first kid.Carter family had a dance floor there.

Later when their second kid (Bj Carter)was born,Carter family moved to Florida and Nick was about 5 or 6(or maybe 4)at that time(...anyway the first person who heard Nick's singing was his mother,Jane Carter heard his son singing "Bridge Over troubled Water." while he was on a tree.)and they were moved into their first house which was a retirement home, because Nick's dad started working. They lived there for maybe a year,there he and his sister got close to older people and and he says that he learned to respect people and that also helped him. Then they moved to another place and then Nick met one of his best friends Brent. During this time they just kept trying to live closer to the retirement home without living there. They moved very close to it. Nick's mom was a cook at the retirement home.

When his parents figured Nick's talent they did everything to make his dreams come true. He started when he was about nine years old, he did plays, commercials and sang in a few places. I did commercials for the Lottery and The Money Store , a lot of that kind of stuff. So Nick's childhood was filled with auditions, castings, vocal lessons, dancing lessons, theatrical nights, school, and and and.

He always wanted wanted to be a singer ,"I really decided what I wanted to be when I singing. I audtioned for the Micky Mouse Club and Backstreet Boys. And the Micky Mouse Club said they wanted me!" (This is what nick has said in his Autobio),Nick was 12 giong on 13,he got called by the Mickey Mouse Club and the Backstreet Boys all at the same time,and nick chose Backstreet Boys,he was the second Backstreet Boy who joined the gruop,later when Howie,Kevin and Brian joined the Backstreet Boys,Nick got close to Aj and Howie and Brian,that Brian became his best friend.

Now(2001)Nick is 21,full of energy.His life is singing, dancing, rehearsals, photo sessions, and stuff. If he's got some free time you can find him playing Nintendo or basketball with Brian, raging around with his brother, Aaron, and his other sibs, boating or scuba diving with his Dad, and even drawing cartoons.(nick has worked with the famous Stan Lee from Stan Lee Media on Backstreet Project,and the 'Backstreet Boys Project' is avaiable as a magazine and even on the internet!)
