Brand- Thank you all for coming and helping us make this a night to remember. I asked our event organizers, Kitty Sinclair, Starlett and their staff to allow me to speak first because I would like to pay tribute to what really started the MWA. Almost eight years ago I was sitting at my home in Hartford, Connecticut unwinding late at night.
(A voice calls out from a table in the room. it is Johnny Grrrrr.)
Grrrrr- What was her name Barrett? You still have her number?
(The room fills with laughter and even the stoic Brand cracks a smile.)
Brand- I assure you that the lady in question is very much married today and is still a dear friend. And even if she wasn't Johnny, you wouldn't be interested. She's of legal age.
(Laughter again as Grrrrr throws back a Captain and Coke.)
Brand- So I turned on my satellite to see what was on. Bruce Springsteen was right when he sang the song, 57 Channels and Nothing On. Until I found Midwest Sports Channel, long since changed to the Fox Sports Net. They were the cable exclusive home to a midwest wrestling organization based right here in Madison, Wisconsin and the name was Mad City Wrestling. I tuned into their flagship program, MCW Battlezone and I found the kind of wrestling that made me care about the sport again. I quickly became a convert to the awesome athleticism of Jackie Sweets, the Irregular Luchadores(Merde & Dhiarhetta Guerrera), Tommy Knuckles, Chad Lawler, Johnny Grrrrr, the Ruff Ryders(Tank, J.Dirty, Souch and Matrix(Earls Bickelsbottoms), Ian Payne, Strawberry Bobby, Broadway and even the Prime Time Players of "El Presidente" Brian Dunkel. I thrilled to their revolutionary PPV's. I remember the 60 minute draw between Broadway and Sweets as if it was yesterday. And who could forget an 18 year old Starlett just making her debut into the sport?
Needless to say I was hooked. And that is why I think it is long overdue that the MWA tips their hat to what came before, the MCW. So tonight before we get underway with the MWA portion of the show, I'd like to announce the first three inductees to the MCW Hall of Fame. First allow me to bring you the voice of the MCW. He's made a full recovery from the heart attack he suffered in July. Please welcome Wally Goodman!
[The original MCW Battlezone theme song, "Burning Heart" by Survivor plays as Wally slowly comes up to the podium. The camera pans to see the front table filled by Jackie Sweets, Starlett, Stephen Clay, Kitty Sinclair, Jack Griggs and Mary Jane Martell all dressed formally for the occasion. Wally shakes Brand's hand and accepts the Plaque naming him an MCW Hall of Famer. Brand encourages Wally to speak.]
Goodman- Thank you all. I came here tonight expecting a party (hic) but I never expected this. (hiccup) Excuse me. I had a little of the bubbly already. There are a lot of people I should thank for this but at my age most of them are already dead. But I do thank Barrett Brand for bringing me back to wrestling when he took over the MWA. I expected a call when MWA first opened but some people are lying sons a bitches! (hic)
[The camera pans to find Brian Dunkel sitting at his table in a rented tuxedo and sneering at Wally.]
Goodman- But this is a party so let me just thank my wife Dutchie for 50 years of a wonderful marriage.
(Porkchop Poe sounds off)
Poe- But Wally you've been married almost 60 years.
Goodman- But only 50 of them have been wonderful. That's not true. Thru thick and thin Dutchie has been there for me. And so has my wonderful daughter Sarah who is still single by the way boys.
[We pan to a table showing Dorothy "Dutchie" Goodman and Sarah Goodman along with some old time MCW staffers. ]
Brand- Let me mention here that starting up in a week will be a brand new piece of programming to run on Fox Sports Net entitled MWA Flashback and Wally Goodman and Tommy Knuckles will be your co-hosts bringing you classic matches from the last three years of the MWA.
[The crowd cheers as Wally raises his Plaque up and returns to his seat. ]
Brand- Next we have a man who is not as well known to some of the people in this room. But he was a major part of the reason that MCW got off it's feet. He really in many ways is the most important man in the early days of the MCW.
Brian Dunkel pushes back his seat expecting to hear his name called.
Brand(noticing Dunkel)- It's not you Brian so please stay seated. (Fans laugh) No this man was the very first MCW World Champion and was a part of the MWA roster just a few months ago. Please welcome Ian Payne!
["Where There'a a Whip There's a Way" by Faster Pussycat plays as Ian comes out hardly dressed for the occasion and wearing a snarl on his face that only a mother could love. He accepts the award from Brand and actually manages to shake his hand without a sneer and his composure quickly changes. He looks out at the people in attendance and a tear wells up in his eyes. ]
Payne- Thank you for this. Um........... I really don't know what to say. When I was asked to be here tonight I didn't want to come. The best years of my life are behind me. My knees are torn up and my shoulder lets me know everytime it rains. When I came here a few months ago it was to settle an old score that never needed to be rehashed. I know that now. I liked my few minutes of fame in the MWA. I will treasure it and some of you will be seeing a lot more of me. Thank you.
Brand- I'm pleased to announce that Ian has agreed to take over head trainer duties at the House of Pain. For too long now Jim Kennedy and Rufus Poe have been doing double, no triple duty by doing their regular Director jobs as well as commentary and overseeing the House of Pain. Ian will now be handling the day to day operations. Ian Payne ladies and gentlemen!
[Applause for the man who helped make the careers of some of the people in the room. Payne stops at the front table and offers his hand to Starlett. She reluctantly shakes it and then Payne stops at Sweets and does likewise. Sweets nervously eyes the man who recently put him out of the sport for a month with a brutal sneak attack. But he also remembers how instrumental wrestling this man earlier in his career was. He accepts the hand and Payne pulls him into a big bearhug. Literally. It takes Johnny Grrrrr stroking Ian's shoulders while Griggs and Clay pull him away to make him release the grip. Ian smiles at Sweets with a just kidding look and returns with Grrrrr to his seat. ]
Brand- Well that was exciting. Which leaves only one man. And this man really is the reason we are all here today. He was possibly the biggest name in the MCW and without him there would never have been an MWA. He is a truly colorful and controversial figure but he deserves the accolades of you, his peers. Ladies and gentlemen, the final inductee into the MCW Hall of Fame............
[Brian Dunkel gets up to accept the award he was destined for. ]
Brand- Yes it is Dunkel. Herbert Nicholas Dunkel. H.Nic Dunkel ladies and gentlemen!
["Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by Ashford & Simpson plays as the handsome Latino with the gold rimmed glasses steps out from the back and graciously hugs his close friend, Brand. He hold aloft his Plaque to the roar of the crowd. ]
H. Nic- Thank you. Thank you. This means so much. I look out at so many of the faces of people I have known thru the years and I know that I am blessed. But this night is really for the MWA so let's get to that. But I do want to thank my children, Brian, who is finally this close to showing the promise I always knew he had. And of course Ed, who prefers to be called Darkblade these days. Mi familia is so important to me. It seems hard to believe that 8 years ago I quit my job at Kwik Trip to follow my dreams and here we are tonight. Thank you very much.
[Brian sits back down barely able to contain his anger and embarassment. ]
Brand- Well that ends that portion of our show. It's been three years since the MWA opened and there is no reason to stop now. I'm going to sit down now and hand off things to our Emcee for tonight's festivities.
[The camera cuts away for a moment]

[The camera comes back and the stage is empty as �Party Up� by DMX, the Battlezone anthem, fills the auditorium. The fans in attendance in addition to the wrestler all stand up and cheer as the show begins to get underway, Kendra Wing�s voice is heard throughout the auditorium]
Kendra Wing � Ladies and Gentleman, allow me to introduce Porkchop Poe and Wally Goodman.
[The fans cheer as Wally and Porkchop enter onto the stage both wearing respectable tuxedos and both holding a glass of champagne in their hand. Wally begins first]
Wally � Thank you all very much for coming tonight, it is a historic night in MWA history.
Poe � If you will excuse us both, like Wally said before, we have all been partaking in the endless supply of drinks.
(The audience chuckles)
Wally � The past year has shown us some of the greatest moments in MWA history.
Poe � From Sierra becoming the first woman to win the World Championship, to the endless supply of great matches given to us by the likes or Jack Griggs, BA Brian, Jackie Sweets, Tim Worthington and the rest of the talented MWA roster.
Wallly � The incoming of great talents like Teffin Goss and Logan Wolffe.
Poe � Not to mention the WFW influence with Sean McBride, Punisher, Scott McClain and Derek Grimes. But, with all that good, this year the MWA has also seen its share of tragedy. To list all of the tragic moments of this year, would open to many old wounds.
Wally - But tonight is our chance as a solidified group, to look back and remember, to mourn and to be together and relive the past year!
Poe � Here�s a look back at the year that was!
[The lights dim as a video of some of the years past highlights is shown. The lights turn back on as Wally and Poe still stand on stage.]
Wally � Without further ado, let�s get on with the show and celebrate the year that was!

(Wally and Poe raise their glasses in a toast as the MWA wrestler in the audience do also. The fans cheer wildly as Wally and Porkchop leave the stage.)

Kendra Wing � She�s one of the hottest girls in the wrestling industry, and he�s the guy that follows her around! To present our next award is Fyre and Jonah N Cherry.
[Fyre and Jonah both walk out onto the stage. Fyre is wearing a very sexy red dress and JNC is wearing a black suit. The two walk up to a microphone, Fyre is holding an envelope under her arm.]
JNC � Being hated is often one of the things wrestlers want more then anything.
Fyre � You know what they say, if you can�t beat em� HATE EM! Here are the nominees for Most Hated Wrestler of 2004!

JNC � Sean McBride�
[JNC drops the envelope and storms off after Fyre. The camera shows Sean McBride wearing a black sports jacket with a red shirt underneath, he gets up from his table as boos rain down on him, he smiles a huge smirk on his face as he walks up onto the stage not acknowledging a single person on the way. A beautiful woman is standing there with a trophy to hand over to Sean. Sean takes it from her hand and walks over to the mic.]
Sean � I thought Fyre would give me a nice hug and kiss for winning the award. I guess you cant get everything you want. And like the rest of the winners tonight who I�m sure will thank the fans, I too will thank the fans for, for not realizing that I am Sean McBride, and I deserve their respect for everything I�ve done in my career. I�ve been the living legend before anyone else staked claim to that name. And I will continue to take the MWA apart!
[McBride walks off holding the trophy ion his hand as the crowd rains down boos again]

Kendra Wing � Ladies and Gentleman, the MWA�s Heritage Champion and multiple nominee tonight, Jackie Sweets�
[Jackie Sweets walks up to the podium wearing a dark purple suit with black shirt made by Hugo Boss. He lowers the mic stand and addresses the crowd.]
Sweets- Wow. This is really weird. I've heard so many rumors about an MWA awards show over the years but I never thought it would happen. The man I'm inducting tonight has been the man who over the 11 years of my career I have wrestled the most often. It has also been my pleasure to tag team with him a number of times over the years, even capturing a few World Tag Titles along the way. He's been my toughest opponent and also a great friend, when he wanted to be. He's 6'6" and 365 lbs of the baddest moflickie you never want to run into in a dark alley. But he's also 3 time MCW World Champion and the first 2 time MWA World Champion. It's my pleasure to induct into the MWA Hall of Fame.......... Tommy Knuckles!
["Mama Said Knock You Out" plays as Tommy in his ill fitting suit by Sean John comes up to the podium and gives a hug to his long time rival. He holds up his Plaque as Sweets returns to his seat. Tommy is teared up.]
Knuckles- I ain't no what to say. The purple pansy kinda summed it up. I been in dis sport for 11 years and I wrestled Sweets back in Fanfare Championship Wrestling before we ever got a shot at the big time in MCW. Did means a lot and I wanna thank Barrett Brand for keeping me working after I retired from the sport. I wanna thank H.Nic for taking me out of Fanfare. I wanna thank the people I work with behind the scenes like Porkchop, Broadway, BellaBlue and Earls for keeping me entertained. I wanna give props to old Wally Goodman for using his golden voice to make me a star back in MCW. I wanna thank all you shaftlickas in the audience for keeping me interested. And most of all I wanna thank my gorgeous wife Pizazz for putting up wit' me all these years. Thank you.
[Knuckles raises his plaque high in the air as the fans go nuts, several wrestlers including Merde, Johnny Grrrrr and Ran Smith, some of the older MWA stars stand and applaud Knuckles as he walks off.]

[Tim and Stephen both step up on stage looking distinguished in black suits, Stephen has a white shirt and Tim is wearing a blue shit and his trademark glasses. The two stop at the podium and began looking off at a teleprompter.]
Stephen � Wow, those lines are terrible.
Worthington � You�re right, there�s no bloody way I�m saying something as stupid as that!
Stephen � Where here to give out the award you all have the most to do with!
Worthington � We are going to honor the fan�s favorite wrestler!

Jackie gets up on stage and walks towards Clay and Worthington, he shakes both men�s hand and then accepts a trophy from a woman standing near him.]

(The crowd dies down)
Jackie Sweets � Thank you� it�s an honor to win the one award that is chosen by the audience. Your applause every week are what keep me going, and I don�t know where I would be without them! I want to thank every fan, and every person who has ever rooted for me. Thank you all, and don�t worry I wont start disappointing you now.
[Jackie walks away as the camera shows a quick scan through of the audience, Punisher, Scott McClain and Jesse Fraim all sit at a WFW themed table, with Brian Dunkel there also, separate from the group. He claps a few times as his nemesis Sweets walks away with an award.]

McClain � Tag Team wrestling and a tag team division has always been look at as one of the most important parts of any company.
Griggs � Awards can�t measure the chemistry and teamwork it takes to rule a division like that, but we�re going to try anyway!

He offers Sierra the right of way and follows her up on stage from behind her. They walk over to Griggs and McClain and everyone exchanges handshakes, a woman hands a trophy to Sierra and one to Stephen. Sierra steps up to the mic.]
Sierra � Thank you, it has been quite a year for myself and I feel honored to know that I was able to be the best at something this year. I guess Stephen and me really have a good teamwork after all!
[She steps aside as Clay goes to the mic]
Clay � Thank you to everyone, we worked hard this year to be the best at what we do, and we will continue that trend next year!
[The camera pans around the room as music plays, they pass a table with several Syndicate members, a few including Parker and Logan acknowledge the camera.]

Dunkel �You�ve got two of the best the MWA has ever seen, and were here giving out an award to two guys who probably couldn�t even hold my jock! Whatever, it pays the bills I guess!
[Steve looks a bit confused]
Hughes � Ahh, Dunkel, that�s not on the prompter, where�d you get those lines from!
[Dunkel rolls his eyes]

Hughes and Dunkel have already left, a woman stands there and hands Jack a statue. Jack walks up to the mic as the fans continue to cheer for him.]
Jack Griggs � Thank you� it�s truly an honor to be considered one of the years best in some way. But I obviously couldn�t have done this on my own! Brian was one of the toughest men I have ever fought, and it was an honor to be in the ring with him. So wherever he is, let him know I�ve got his trophy and he deserves at for being the fierce competitor he was!
[Jack walks off as the fans cheer]

Brand heads up to the podium.
Brand- I had hoped to sit back and enjoy the rest of the evening but when I was asked to induct the next man into the MWA Hall of Fame I really was honored. Over the years he has only held one title, the MWA TV Title. But he is a locker room leader and one of the men I respect more than anyone else in this sport. Please welcome CS "Country Thunder" Bunger!!!!!!!!!
"The Immigrant Song plays and changes to"the Thunder Rolls" after a few bars as BellaBlue wheels the 300 plus pound Bunger out to the stage. The roar of the crowd is deafening. At the front few tables, Sweets, Griggs, Clay, Grrrr, Worthington, Nu G, Earls and Knuckles all salute their friend. Brand gives Bunger a warm hug as he hands him a Plaque to commemorate the event.
CS- Damn! That feels good to hear them cheers again. I remember the day I came here. I was full of piss and vinegar and knew I was gonna destroy the competition. But the competition here was a lot tougher than a boy from Podunk, Tennessee was expecting. But I have a little surprise for everyone.
CS places his hands on the arms of the chair and raises to his feet. He stands and walks around carefully as the crowd gives him a standing ovation.
CS- Now I ain't much of a believer in the Bible but I reckon that maybe someone up there had enough of old CS whining and decided to put me back on my feet. Now I ain't planning to wrestle again but I'm fixing to be around.
The crowd erupts with applause.

Kendra Wing � Ladies and Gentlemen, Kevin Rollins and Logan Wolffe.
[Logan and Big Kev step out onto the stage as the crowd boos somewhat, but some cheer. The two are dressed nicely in suits, Kevin holding an envelope.]
Logan � Every now and then a star on the rise comes along, like myself. But cha know, not everyone can create an impack like I did.
Rollins � There a whole load of wrestlers who have come into the Mwa and are trying to be the next Rising star!
Logan � That�s a hellluva lot of nominees, eh Big Kev?
Rollins � Yeah, fuck that, I ain�t reading this shit!
Logan � Everyone else gets 5 names, and you want to give us all of this!
Rollins � I�m outta here!
[Rollins throws down the envelope and walks off towards his seat with Logan right behind him. There is a mur mur in the crowd when all of a sudden Hiyoshi Shigeru, wearing a traditional Japanese garment, comes onto the stage.]
Hiyoshi � It is my honor to accept this award! I am truly the next star in the MW-
[Without warning Paul Parker comes running up to the stage.]
Parker � Forget that! This award is mine!
[TYSON comes running on from backstage and attempts to grab the trophy from the woman standing there.]
TYSON � I�m taking this one!
[Quicksilver runs up from the audience followed closely by Dylan Dales and Dominion. Soon all of the men surround the trophy, out of nowhere Hiyoshi drills a hammer fist onto TYSON forcing the trophy to the ground. Alll of the men quickly start throwing punches at one another with the trophy in the middle, the woman presenting the trophy runs off stage as the fight continues. Jade comes running on and joins the fight as every man is huddled around the same space grappling for the trophy. Out of nowhere Hiyoshi and TYSON go tumbling off the stage and onto the floor underneath. Parker and Jade separate from the group and end up tangled on the right side of the stage. Most MWA wrestlers in the crowd are watching on and laughing as the �rising stars� fight over the trophy. Bronze and the rest of the MWA security come rushing to the stage and the surrounding areas with their Ran Smith Jrs. in hand. The camera goes black as they try and restore order.]

Kendra Wing � These two ladies will show you a good time, and THEN kick your butt, Sierra and Mary Jane.
[Sierra and MJ walk onto the stage both looking stunningly beautiful, they reach the front mic as the fans scream and whistle for them. MJ blushes a bit before Sierra speaks.]
Sierra � This past year gave us so new and welcome additions to the MWA.
MJ � Men AND women who truly pushed boundaries and made names for themselves in their short time in the MWA.

[Logan jumps up from his chair and high fives a few men around him, he gives Ivy a quick kiss and then heads up onto the stage, followed the whole time by Johnny. The two reach the stage and grab Logan�s trophy. Logan attempts to get a hug and kiss out of the lovely woman but the two reject the offer and walk off.]
Logan � Another accolade for the hottest thing in the MWA! There was no doubt in ma mind dat I was gonna be up here to win this! It� just one victory at a time, and soon da MWA will total be taken over by the Syndicate. Rising star, straight to the MWA world title!
[The place erupts with boos, except for the Syndicate section of the floor, which is standing and cheering as Logan walks off.]

[Ran and Derek walk out onto the stage both looking nice in black suits, and white shirts. The two stop at the mic and Ran steps right up, almost angry.]
Ran � This is such trash! They didn�t have these award shows when I was a top competitor in the MWA, and now they�re killing it with all these awards, I woulda won like twenty of these if they were around!
DG � You�re telling me! I wasn�t in the MWA long enough to actually do any sort of real impact! Considering I didn�t have that much time I still kicked some serious ass!
Ran � Yeah, fuck this DG, let�s go!
[The two pretend to walk off and then turn around and go back to the mic.]
Ran � Syke, we still gonna do it� but I want some lifetime achievement for being the coolest n***a in the MWA!
DG � I�ll take one of those also!
[Ran looks at DG kinda confused]
Ran � But Derek� you�re a cracka!
DG � C�mon Ran, we all brothers!

Griggs � You know, I�ve said this before and I totally mean it. I could not be up here without BA and I think he�d say the same thing. So wherever he is, thanks BA, we certainly showed the MWA some good times this year!

Kitty- Where here to present the final inductee into the MWA Hall of Fame tonight. She was a woman of rare virtue with an infectious laugh that many of you came to know and love just as we did.
(Kitty breaks down and Starlett slips her arm around her.)
Starlett- Amy Reyna made the MWA her life and she gave her life to it. Her death was tragic and pointless but at least we take comfort in knowing that it was quick and she didn't suffer. We are joined tonight by members of Amy's family who have asked us to accept this award in her name. Months ago Barrett set up the Amy Reyna Foundation to help Native American youths realize their dreams of going to college and making a living in broadcasting which was Amy's passion. Amy's body is not with us today but her spirit is in this room touching us all. Thank you.
[We pan the room and their is hardly a dry eye. Jackie Sweets is being held by Stephen Clay as he weeps openly. Jack Griggs, who was in love with Amy, is comforted by the new woman in his life, Mary Jane Martell. The scene fades to black as a picture of Amy Reyna fades onto the screen and then fades out.]

Kendra Wing � Ladies and gentlemen, to present tonight�s last award, Jackie Sweets and Johnny Grrrrr!
[The fans erupt as two of the biggest MWA stars hit the stage and walk towards the microphone. The fans continue to cheer as Jackie tries to step in front of the cheering.]
Sweets � Thank you for that warm reception, it is truly an honor to be giving out this tremendous award, the first of it�s kind! I believe the entire MWA roster and organizers deserve a hand for getting this together!
Grrrrr � Yeah, good food, good people, it�s been a blast!
Sweets � And now the nominees for Wrestler of the Year�

(Sierra looking embarrassed to have the camera in her face shies away from it)

(The camera goes back the stage, Jackie opens an envelope and looks at the winner, he points it towards Grrrrr who smirks at the result.)
Sweets � Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a tie� the WINNERS are BA Brian Richman and Jack Griggs!
[The whole place erupts as Jack stands up from his table and gives MJ a big kiss. He walks up towards the stage and hugs Jackie and Johnny, two of his best friends in the MWA. A woman hands him a trophy as Jack steps up to the microphone.]
Jack Griggs � There isn�t much else that could have made 2004 a better year for myself. The MWA has been a blessing and I am grateful for every opportunity, and grateful for the fans to truly appreciate what I do! And I hope to continue to do whatever that is, and be back here next year! This is the third time tonight I should have shared the stage with BA Brian, a man who I know made me what I am! If you�re not pushed by someone, you never know what you can truly be, and Brian was that someone for me!
[Jackie steps up to the mic holding BA�s trophy]
Sweets � Until I ever see you again Brian, I will accept this award on his behalf! And I know that wherever he is, he is watching this tonight, and is happy to be the winner of this award! So thank you on his behalf.
[Grrrrr steps up to the mic this time.]
Grrrrr � Thank you all for joining us, and we hope to see you all again during the year! Congratulations to all the winners and good night!
[Grrrr waves his hand as the camera gets a large overhead shot of the MWA wrestlers beginning to stand up and walk to speak with other winners, as the camera fades out.]
