How long have you been caring for children in your home?
A. I have been caring for children in my home since 1998 .

2. Do you have references?
A Yes, please see my page on references and I will provide the original  letter at interview.

3. What kinds of things do you do with the children?
A.We have free play as well as structured play (circle time, storey time) We play music,sing,dance and               exercise our bodies.We do crafts, color, paint, puzzles. Outdoor play is also a big part of our day.

4.What are your views on discipline?
A.I try to discipline in a positive, loving but firm manner that is age appropiate. The older children are told            the house rules frequently and reminded as needed.

5. How much television is viewed?
A.Videos/TV may be used during transition periods, arrival, departure and during lunch preparation. 

6. What happens if my child becomes sick during the day?
A. I will notify the parents to pick up child immediately. If I cannot reach you within 30 minutes, I will call         your contact to pick up child.

7. How sick does a child have to be before they cannot attend?
A.Well this is an easy one - if your child exhibits any symptoms such as fever, vomiting, rash within the last       12 hrs., PLEASE keep your child home. If your child is unable to participate in our activities, he/she                   should not attend and lets face it children really do not want to be away from you when feeling sick!!

8. What happens if you (provider) get sick?
A. I make every effort to be available each day, however, I am only human and will be ill occasionally.                PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have a backup provider available. I will let you know as soon as possible if I
am not available.

10. Are you trained in First Aid & CPR?
A. Yes, I update my certificate yearly.

11. When are you scheduled to be open?
A. I am open on a Monday - Friday schedule. Specific hours are contracted on an individualized basis.

12. Do you have a specific daily schedule?
A.  Not carved in stone.....we do follow a routine each day but with children, you must be very flexible.

13. When are fees due?
A. Fees are due on Friday before the week of care commences.

14. What is included in my weekly fee?
A. Snack (2) lunch, holiday celebrations, Birthday parties and all craft supplies.

15, Must I pay if my child is away sick or for other reasons?
A. Yes, you are paying for your child's spot not attendance.

16. Are you available for overtime? What do you charge?
A. On occasion I may be available & I charge $5.00 per 15 min increments past/or before your Contracted scheduled hours. I have a very busy family life.

17. How long do you plan to provide childcare?
A. Good question! I really enjoy my career as a Childcare Provider and plan to continue for a long time.

18. Are there  any other adults in your home while the children are present?
Yes, my husband works  afternoon shift so he is very much a part of the children's day.and gets to know the children quite well. He is also my backup in case its required. My mom also visits monthly for an overnight stay.
