Marcus married first to Kate Keyes, daughter of Mr and Mrs E W Keyes, of Reeves Station, Gordon County, GA.
They were married on October 7, 1888, at the residence of D. B. Clark in Reeves Station.
There were no children born into this marriage. Kate was born abt 1869 and died December 20, 1905.
She died from consumption. The obituary I have found states her brother Sam Keyes died the day she was buried.
She died on December 14, 1956 in Bartow Co., GA and is buried at Franklin Cemetery in Calhoun, GA.

Annie Ruth Allen b April 10, 1910 d. Annie married Harvey Crawford.
Addie Irene Allen b October 3, 1911 d July 22, 1999 Irene married Carter Mullinax on December 31, 1927. They had 4 children. Carter and Irene are buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville.
Marcus Lafayette Allen Jr. b June 11, 1913 d September, 1977. Marcus was married to Minnie Lee Tate. He is buried in Franklin Cemetery in Calhoun.
