| The hardest of life's lessons to learn Must be taught by life's hardest times. To love, to lose, and to love again, This has become my new life. I remember as it was before. All I have is as it is now. What should I think about what will be? What sort of prize do I fight for? I have never felt pain like this. I hope to never again. Yet, here I am in the same situation, Trying to fight the same curse. To love, to fail, to lose, and to fall. To this I seem doomed yet once more. My whole life is the same scene in a play, With the audience shouting, "Encore." I wish to be free of these shackles, The shackles of love lived and lost. I wish to move on to a new life. I will pay whatever the cost. Jonathan Stephen Bruce |
