April 20, 2000-Before you begin to read this TRUE nightmare, keep in mind that it's not at all many of the worst TRICARE nightmare stories, in fact, compared to oh so many, it's a picnic and cake walk. Also, May I tell you further that if I take one of my small children to a TRICARE DESIGNATED-OUT OF THE WAY EMERGENCY ROOM, I still get billed because TRICRAP TRICARE DOES NOT PAY THEIR CLAIMS IT IS LAWFULLY SUPPOSED TO PAY. Tricare also plays word games and red tape games with you when you complain. One more final note: One of my small children has an ear condition in both ears. He's had surgery to be able to hear again in both ears (what this web site is about) but now he needs to see a hearing specialist designated by our TRICARE AUTHORIZED FAMILY PRACTICE FACILITY (and only one within an hours drive ONE WAY). OUR FAMILY PRACTICE FACILITY IS GREAT WITH A GREAT STAFF, BUT THEY CANNOT FIND A SPECIALIST FOR MY LITTLE BOY TO SEE AND THE BILLS STILL GO ILLEGALLY UNPAID BY TRICARE TO THIS DAY, BUT I WON'T STOP YELLING. I WON'T GIVE THE LAZY, DISHONEST, SHAMEFUL, DISGUSTING, UNORGANIZED, CORRUPTION INFESTED TRICARE THAT SATISFACTION BECAUSE IT'S NOT ONLY MY LITTLE CHILDREN THAT SUFFER. Please care and please help. Were to begin with the TriCare Health Insurance scam...Well, it's like this, TriCare employees in REGION 5 and REGION 2 (and the rest of the uncaring regions as well)simply don't care about anybody. They just sit there, smart off to you on the telephone, intentionally hang up on you, insult you, and refuse to give you their name--as if sub-human species have names...

HEY TRICARE!!! IS YOUR PAPER SHREDDER SMOKIN' BY THE END OF THE DAY WITH ALL OF THOSE UNPAID INSURANCE CLAIMS YOU SO CONVENIENTLY "KNOW NOTHING ABOUT"????????? OR, ARE YOU TRYING TO SAVE EVEN MORE MONEY AND FURTHER CUT CORNERS BY USING THEM FOR TOILET PAPER????????????

MARCH 7, 2000: MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!!! (Ya right) I called TriCare AGAIN and pushed the button you push on your phone to help you with "A SPECIFIC CLAIM" in Region 2 & 5. Was very calm and certainly professional. Yet another time told them of my "mysterious claim". I further went on to get the name of Annie C. who said she knew nothing about anything, therefore she felt she couldn't help me with anything. When I went on to explain that I've built this web site and plan on naming names of all Tricare employees who are not only rude but give broken promises she connnected me with a superviser with warp speed. This person, Terrie L., was sooooooooooooo appologetic to my story (yaaaaaaaaaaawn). So, once again I explained the whole story and included the web site information as well. (Why if I had a dollar for everytime I drug up this story to a Tricare worker in the claims dept.........) Anyway, she wanted the number of the hospital they have failed to pay and also the name of the collection agency and the department of the hospital that turns one over to a collection agency....I gave it all to her. She gave me her word she would correct this wrong situation. (Words I've heard before) ......Pardon me if I don't hold my breath.

MARCH 15, 2000 ANOTHER MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!!!( sort of for real this time) I called to speak to Terrie L. again....and could you believe that EVERY TIME I CALLED BACK SHE WAS UNAVAILABLE?????? Isn't that something!??! (How convenient for her and her broken promises). Regardless, I explained the story first to one of the (gulp) claims people that answer the phone first. EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE STORY AGAIN UP TO THIS POINT (NOTE: The TriCare "RE-EXPLAIN-YOUR-STORY-A-ZILLION-TIMES-TO-THEM" torture...Just one of their psychological warfare methods. The other being one of their nincumpoop/noncaring employees repeating the words over the telephone to you: "I don't know, there IS no record of it, I don't know, there IS no record of it, I don't know, there IS no record of it....") Which is exactly what I got from Carrie Twit (her last name was changed to protect her ignorance) She was so non-caring and snotty. Then I told her that her name was going on my web site too. She got so hateful and told me she would sue me. I couldn't resist, the word "bimbo" came to mind...suddenly the phone went dead.......

However, I called back to the same old ludicrous, shlocky regions 2 & 5. Only something somewhat extaordinary happened. I actually got to talkt to a patient Tricare employee who obviously didn't just show up for work ONLY to collect a paycheck. She was NON patronizing, listened to what I said, knew of all of the people I was refering to, and told me she would put me on hold for a few minutes but not to hang up. She came back, had a copy of the "mysterious claim" that nobody had ever heard of or saw before. She also had explained that she had been briefed on the web site I was doing as well as the credit collections that are after us for over 2 grand, and Carrie-the-ninnie I spoke to earlier that day. She was EXTREMELY detailed on how she could and would help me. Explained that it would be processed today or tomorrow at the latest. She also gave me the claim number (proof). She's calling me back Friday to let me know EXACTLY what was happening. She has my respect SO FAR. She was a kind human being. Let's see what happens with this claim that's not been paid for WELL OVER A YEAR.

Just a note: I never recieved a phone call from Tricare that Friday I was supposed to.

MARCH 28, 2000: AFTER SEVERAL MORE PHONE CALLS TO TRICARE, MY CONGRESSMAN, THE FREE PRESS IN MY METRO AREA, AND LETTING TRICARE KNOW THIS AS WELL AS TELLING THEM I'M USING ALL OF THEIR NAMES THAT HAVE FAILED ME, MY CLAIM OF WELL OVER $2,000.00 WAS JUST PAID. LOOK WHAT TYPE OF HELL AND AGGRIVATION ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH TO GET WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY THEIRS IN THE FIRST PLACE. TRICARE STILL STINKS. I'M LEAVING THIS PAGE FOR OTHERS TO FIND SO THEY KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALONE.
