Hellgate Bridge

Hellgate Bridge
Lionel Part # 6-32999

A faithful replica of the arched bridge spanning New York’s East River built in 1917. Properly known as the East River Arch Bridge, the Hellgate Bridge acquired its nickname because of the dangerous, swirling currents it passes over.

For the first time since the original design was available, Lionel re-introduces the Hellgate Bridge, created with tin plate and brass detail. Both the original and the reissue of Lionel's Hellgate Bridge are useable on even simple Lionel layouts. Trains can pass through the bridge at ground level without having to approach it on elevated track.

Quality Crafted Components:

  • Finely finished tinplate structure.
  • Detailed brass identification.
  • Plates and handrails.

Dramatic, Realist Lighting:

  • Interior illumination.

Additional Enhancements:

  • Original prewar green, orange and cream colors.
  • Accommodates two O-gauge trains passing through bridge at the same time, or one train down the middle of the bridge.

Dimensions: 30 ½" Length, 11 ¾" Width, 11 ¼" Height
