Everyone is addicted to SOMETHING
--
do YOU know what your OBSESSION is?

You are addicted to THINKING if...
- you overanalyze things
- you take 20 minutes to answer a multiple choice question
- you are able to make a webpage (like this one) with no difficulty of finding content
- you write things about
trees falling in forests
- you argue that the "present" doesn't exist
- you almost run over someone because your mind is somewhere else
- your professor says you write too formally
- you change the answer you put to the multiple choice question that you spent 20 minutes on...possibly even more than once...
- you read through a text book looking for editing errors...and find quite a few
- you stumble over the curb into traffic because your mind is somewhere else
- your teachers come to you to see if they did things right and/or you have to constantly correct them during class
- you think out things logically before you actually do things - even with things such as what to wear (i.e.- "it's cold outside so i should wear a sweater but it's warm in the classroom so i need to wear layers...but i don't have a place to put them and i don't want to carry them around so i'll just freeze outside...but if it rains then i need a jacket but knowing me i'd probably forget it in the classroom so i'll just get wet...but i just took a shower and my hair will get frizzy so maybe i should just wear the jacket...etc.)
- you often confuse people by doing the previous out loud
You are ADDICTED to SCRABBLE if:
- you stay up all hours of the night playing
- you can't go to sleep cuz you keep playin it in your mind
- you try to compete against players that you know are not as good as you so that you can BEAT THEM
- you look up words online in a dictionary as you play
- you have actually searched for a word-building program so that you can make bigger, better words
- you have actually FOUND this word-building program and use it EVERY time you play even though you tell your opponent you aren't...
- you use this word-building program against people to see how fast they will quit because of the proposterous words that it makes (yet that are still actually words...)
- during the day you look for words that are playable
- when you hear a new word you count (on your fingers) how many letters are in the word to see if it would be feasible to play this word
You are addicted to AIM if...
- you are on at all hours of the night talking to people
- you use AIM "emoticons" when you talk to people
- when your buddies are away you look at their away messages and profiles continuously until you hear that little "ding" (or whatever your AIM sound is)
- when you hear someone elses "ding," or something that closely resembles the "ding," you automatically run to your computer
- you have at some point in time made an AIM "quiz"
- you update your profile constantly
- your data says you've been on for more than 3 days
- even when you're with the people you normally talk to on AIM, you still get online and talk to people, just so you can feel important
- when you type papers you still use "AIM abbreviations" such as "b/c," "w/o," "cuz," and "oic," and you don't use puncuation of any sort
- you have taken all the quizzes offered by IM chaos (such as the "how southern are you?" "what type of alcoholic personality do you have?" "what smiley are you?" or "what care bear are you?" quizzes)
...more to come...
