Interview with Amy Lachey
November 17, 2002 Gregory Helms: Hello XXWF fans and welcome to the "Mild Mannered Minute," Im Gregory Helms and my guest for this week is Amy Lachey. Amy welcome to the show. Amy Lachey: Thank you and great being here. Gregory Helms: Amy how have you been feeling since your accident? Amy Lachey: Ive been doing okay, back still hurts a lil but I'll get over it. I mean I have to right? Gregory Helms: Yes I guess so...but its good that you are doing better. So, to my understanding you issued a challenge to any and all champions, and so far nobody has accepted, what are your thoughts on that? Amy Lachey: Well I think that they're all just afraid that I'll kick their butts. Because if they weren't scared wouldn't you think they would have accepted my challenge? Of course, its sort of funny that three full-grown men can be afraid of a woman. Gregory Helms: Well, I don't know, the champions have had a pretty hectic schedule as of late...but is there anyone that you would like to face in particularly out of the three? Amy Lachey: Jeff Hardy, definitely. Him and I have the same sense of wrestling style so I believe it would be a great match, especially if it was something like a ladder match. Gregory Helms: Hmm. that would be interesting, but I don't know how that would work out, because Jeff wouldn't raise a hand to a lady. Amy Lachey: He probably wouldn't, but if you haven't noticed I'm no ordinary woman. I'm more like a tomboy than a lady. Gregory Helms: I see. you have proved that in your matches. Gregory Helms: So is this rivalry between Chaz and yourself ever going to end? Amy Lachey: Yes and no. I would be able to prove it more so if Chastity and I would have been able to continue our hardcore match without senile referees making stupid pin falls. Gregory Helms: I saw that, it has stirred up some controversy since it happened. Amy Lachey: Our lil dispute might, but I can't really tell you. Chaz and I have a history that nobody knows about and well I can't go into details, it's strictly confidential at the moment. Gregory Helms: I see. Can you comment on anything about what happened in the interview between you and Michael Cole? Amy Lachey: I got a lil message from my cousins about an accident that occurred around 1997. I can't reveal that much about it but it was totally an accident; it's wasn't my fault. Gregory Helms: I see I hope that everything turns out okay. It is time for the fan mail section of our show. This is where the fans send in questions for me to ask you, do you mind if I ask them? Amy Lachey: No, go right ahead. My fans are important to me. Gregory Helms: Okay...(pulls out some papers, and starts to read them) If you had to team with anyone, who would it be and why? Amy Lachey: Hmm, that's a hard one. Gregory Helms: Well, please take your time. Amy Lachey: Well if all this feuding wasn't going on then I would probably choose either Jeff or Chastity because they're both great athletes and I think that we would totally demolish the competition. Gregory Helms: Okay, next question. What do you think of all the stables in the XXWF? And do you ever plan on joining another in the future? Amy Lachey: The Dragons of course was the stable I was in before, don't get me wrong they're great but they were holding me back. I mean if it weren't for them then I wouldn't have had that accident. Amy Lachey: Now DX they seem like they're actually going somewhere, great superstars, great attitude, I think they'll be around for awhile. Amy Lachey: As for the rest, the Acolytes, Xtremist, etc I can't really comment on because I don't really know all that much about them. Gregory Helms: All right, last fan mail question. There is a lot of controversy among people that The Hurricane and XtremeZone GM Gregory Helms are one and the same. What do you think? Amy Lachey: I can't really say I mean you both if there is two of you are great looking, very talented, and a lot of other things. There's a lot of proof as to you being Hurricane but there's also proof that you're not, so I don't really know. Gregory Helms: Well thank you for the complements, but let me assure you and everyone that its not true. That question has popped up a lot lately...(looks at his producers, who are laughing) I know its you guys, it is old and not funny! Amy Lachey: (Pats Gregory on the head) It's all right they're just morons. Gregory Helms: I agree, they are...Anyway, back to the interview. You have a Women's title match at the PPV against the new champion Victoria, can I get your thoughts on that. Amy Lachey: Hmm I'm pretty sure that we both have a pretty good chance of winning. We're both great superstars but only one of us will come out the winner and XXWF women's champion proving that she is better than the other. And I believe that woman will be me. Gregory Helms: Well good luck at the PPV. Amy Lachey: Thank you and you too. Gregory Helms: Well thank...I mean...I'm sorry, but I don't have a match, I'm just a reporter. Amy Lachey: Oh yeah that's Hurricane, my bad. Gregory Helms: Yes, people often get us confused. (Gregory starts rubbing his goatee, and whispering) Maybe its because I'm so good looking... Amy Lachey: (Laughs) Maybe it is, I mean there's such an amazing resemblance between you and Hurricane, it's almost uncanny. Gregory Helms: (Embarrassed by the fact that Amy heard his whispering he starts messing with papers on his desk and he starts to speak up again) Yes, maybe so...well, we are out of time. So Amy, do you have any closing comments? Amy Lachey: Yes, Victoria you better prepare yourself because once you and I enter that ring there's gonna be hell. And another thing people can't you see Gregory isn't Hurricane it's obvious that Gregory is better looking and more intelligent than Hurricane. Gregory Helms: (starts to blush) Well thank you very much, at least you believe me! Thank you for being on the show, please come back. Good luck again in your championship match. Amy Lachey: Bye and thank you. Gregory Helms: This is Gregory Helms and Amy Lachey signing off for the Mild Mannered Minute. Back to you guys at ringside.
