India, April 2000

Taj Mahal, Agra

In April I made a brief visit to India. Mayumi, my wife, didn't want to go with me in the hot season, so I went alone. It was hot (about 41 degrees everyday), but that didn't destroy what was a colourful, lively and interesting experience.

Indians (there are all kinds)

What surprised me most is how many different kinds of people, religions, and cultures there are in India. All in all things seems to work fairly well, and India exceeded my expectations. Traveling can be hard work, but I think India is worth a visit.

One of the temples in Khajurahao

I visitied Delhi, Agra, Jhansi and Khajurahao. Maybe Khajurahao, while being the hottest place, was the nicest. It is a small village which people only visit because of the famous hindu temples, which has been abounded for centuries. Very laidback, and peaceful.
