Chapter 1
A flood of information. Air temperature, pressure and humidity. Visual scans. Heat sensing,  X-ray and  various others. Sound filled his receivers. Machinery whirling and two men speaking. One was the same as the last time. One was different. He now had limbs. He started a self diagnostic. 97% optimum efficiency. He was lacking some lubrication in the hydraulics of his lower legs. The stress on his legs would have to be kept to a minimum. He sat up and rotated his ocular screens to get a view of his surroundings. And himself. He was humanoid in shape. He appeared to be made in the image of his creators. He noticed that a cable had been inserted into his torso. He could access a network through this cable. He started by searching for information on the two men he shared the room with. He matched one face with a image.

            Name: Dr. Isaac T. Dross.
Age: 46 years, 7 months and 18 days.
            Place of Brith: London England.
Specialities: Human Biology, Engineering, Bio Electronic Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Cybernetics and Computer Technology.
Current Position: Head of the top secret A.D.A.M project.

He searched for more references to A.D.A.M. A artificial was quickly found but it was passworded. It only took him seven seconds to break the ten number code.

The A.D.A.M Project
The Artificial Development of A Mind project. Codenamed A.D.A.M. A joint operation of the North American United Military and the Multi National Foundation of Scientists. The goal of this operation is to create an artificial min that is compact and advanced enough to be placed in an artificial body. Their mind must be capable to react to stimulus and follow basic instructions. It must also be in complete control of it's body. The android will be used in area's that is deemed hazardous to a human body. Upon completion it will also be evaluated for military possibilities. If the foundation is unable to meet these requirements within the allotted time the grant money will be revoked and the task will be reassigned to another scientific organization.

That was him. He was the result of project A.D.A.M. He was an artificial being. The first of his kind. Now he knew who he was. And where he was. But why was he here?
"Why am I here?" The other two men seemed to be taken aback. One recorded some notes into a hand held pad.
"You are here to do what we require of you."
           "Did you create me?"
"Yes." He was created. By these men. He was alive because of them.
"Thank you for giving me life."

Personal log of Dr. Isaac T. Dross. The android has shown a higher degree of intelligence then was predicted. I've even begun to question wether he is sentient or not. But after all is said and done he was created to serve us. He may even qualify as alive if we stretch the meaning a bit. But he is a tool. Simply an advanced desktop computer. Then why do I still call it him? Why did I name it Adam after the project? These next few months would be complicated o say the least.
