| Yes, I have read Harry Potter. Yes, I know it's a childrens book. Yes, I did make fun of my friends that were reading it before me. But now that I've read them I'm glad that I have. You would think that they would all (there are 4 books to date) be happy-go-lucky. And to be honest, you'd be partly right. But the majority of the time they're pretty good with that. I was chocked when characters acctually died. I mean I've read some books were people die left and right but coming from a child's book it acctually had more of an impact. The series caught me compleatly off guard. The polt's are acctually interesting and riddled with twists and turns. Not once did I predict how the book would end once the conflict was presented. But when you finnish everything is explained to you and you see all the clues that you missed. So I would recomend this series to basicly anyone. It's so simply in concept that children can understand it easily. And yet it's so interesting that I couldn't help finnishing all 4 in a short amount of time. So if you can get over the embarasment of been seen with these books take my advice and go read them. You'll be pleasently surprised. Oh, and in my personal oppinion book number 3 was the best. But number four placed second so don't write it off quite yet. I hear there's a movie coming out. I don't know if I'll see because I just don't see these books making a good movie. There's just so much that wouldn't translate. But if I do end up seeing it you can be sure they'll be a review. |
