1992

* Instructed by the Honourable "Hangin' Judge" Ian Walker, inside the Provincial Courthouse, in Squamish, B.C.

* My first pipe band was the Diamond Head Legion Pipe Band, also in Squamish.

1993

* Inaugural parade was in June at the Hope, B.C. Highland Gathering.

1994

* Cameo appearance in LOW budget blockbuster hit Ski Hard" (3.5/10 stars)

* Whistler leg of the World Cup Downhill, opening and closing ceremonies.

1995

* Not many memorable events from this year

1996

* Joined "The Real McKenzies" pseudo Scottish punk band

1997

* Many memorable moments this year, such as: celebrity dinner cruise and impromptu show, taking over the stage at a local club when the scheduled band decided to not play. My memory is blank on many other occasions for this year.

1998

* CD debut year!(resounding thud)

* TV and stage included "Morning Breakfast" show in Vancouver, Kokanee Meltdown in Edmonton, Alberta, Vans International Warped Tour in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, etc...not enough time to go through them all.

* Played in Edmonton again, this time crashing the stage of "Bad Religion"

* Back in Vancouver, I met a policeman named Grinny at a British pub/resaurant, he told me to come down to the police band practice the next week. I did just that.

* The band was to head off to Edinburgh for the Tattoo, and was to go with them, but something came up. I made a life altering decision to take a job offer playing the pipes in Tokyo Disneyland.

1999

* March 8, 1999, I flew to Anahiem for a 2 day orientation regarding Tokyo Disneyland (TDL)

* March 11,1999, I was flown first class into tomorrow, across the International Date Line and over the Pacific.

* The experience was tough, free flight and train pass, free luxury accomodation at the American Village in Shin Urayasu, all bills paid (except phone, food and drink)

* 9 Months of the most memorable time thus far in my life.

* I worked 5 days/week, 7 shows/day, 20 minutes/show.

2000-2002

* Very little in the way of public piping, other than a few friends' weddings and such. My Japanese wife and I did a little traveling.

* Rejoined the VPD pipe band, and lovin' the sound of big pipes and drums.

* Joined their competition band as well this time around, to hone my skills to where they were when I was playing EVERY DAY in Japan.
