Frequently Asked Questions

I added this page to help answer some questions that you may have about my weight loss. If the question/answer is not here, write to me and I will be happy to answer it.

How did you lose weight?
I am losing weight with the
Weight Watchers Winning POINTS Program.

When was your "light bulb" moment?
I think it was when I lost my first 10% (24 lbs). I knew that if I could do well thus far, I could be more successful down the line.

How long has it taken you?
Three years. I lost the majority of my weight in  about 14 months. The last 10-15 pounds have taken me a long time to lose. I got discouraged in the past, but never gave up on myself.

Did you have a plateau?
Yes. I stayed within the same 3 pounds for over 6 months. I am pretty sure that it was a physical block that created a mental block.

Is it hard to stay on program (OP)?

This is my lifestyle. I am always figuring the POINTS in my head without even thinking about it. I try to stay in my range, but some days, I do go over. I don't beat myself up and just move on.

Are you hungry?

No. I am pretty satisfied most of the time. I do get more hungry at times and just add more food to my menu.

Do you have cravings?
Yes. I still have cravings and make sure to satisfy them on occasion. I don't deprive myself of anything because it is not necessary. I just work it into my range and use added points when needed.

Do you use banked points? Activity POINTS (APs)?
I believe that you should use the points that you have earned if you want to. In the beginning, I never used my APs because I didn't need them. Now that I am in the lower range, I sometimes have to use them and will.

Do you exercise?

Yes. I exercise because I enjoy it now. I work out at least 5 days a week..

Do you have excess/loose skin?

Yes, on my breasts, abdomen, and inner thighs. It has gotten better with time, but I would have to have it surgically removed for it to disappear.
