It Was March 1st A pretty damn cold day but it was worth it because it was the day of A Placebo Gig. I had never been to the Brixton Academy but had heard it was a lovely place and I wasnt disappointed at all.
I Got to the venue at around 3:30 and the queue was 1/2 way up the alley. Was a freezing cold day and I for one was most happy to get inside. My hands and feet were so cold I couldn't feel them. Quite funny really.
Eventually got in at 7pm and got the best seats on the balcony three little seats on the front row on Stefs side, I had an amazing view for the whole show!
Placebo came on at 9pm The effect they did on the curtain was amazing and had me in hysterics again
The set list from what I can remember:
Bulletproof Cupid
Allergic To Thoughts Of Mother Earth
Every You Every Me
Bionic
Protect me From What I Want
Plastecine
The Bitter End
Soulmates
Black-eyed
I'll Be Yours
Special Needs
English Summer Rain
Without You I'm Nothing
This Picture
Special K
Taste In Men
Slave To The Wage
Pure Morning
Centrefolds
Where Is My Mind
The gig itself was really good, I don't think Bri was in a very good mood as he hardly spoke at all. Was funny when Stefan broke a string and carried on playing A few mistakes on some songs but nothing too noticeable. I enjoyed this gig a lot and would go back to Brixton any day which was quite handy because I was back there the next day! |
