| Review I have seen many reviews that place Victory Field at the top of the list when it comes to ranking minor league baseball parks. I have been there for several games and disagree with those assessments. I have to say it's a pretty good place to watch a game, but it's not close to the new parks in Oklahoma City and Louisville. It's very generic looking, it's awkwardly located and parking isn't great. There are train tracks nearby and when a train goes by, the park tends to fill up with smoke. The feature most often mentioned by reviewers is the view of the Indianapolis skyline, but I go baseball games to watch baseball games. The view is great, but not something that should be used to rank the quality of the park. Would the park not be as good a baseball facility without the view? Overall Victory Field is a good place to watch a game, but doesn't have the looks, feel, or comfort of some of the better minor league parks. |
