First Maine Video Game World Champion June 30, 2003 19:25 | Retro Rogue | June 23, 2003 -- Fairfield, Iowa. For the first time, the State of Maine has a bonafide video game world champion -- one who will be appearing in the next edi tion of Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records. "We've been tracking video game world champions since 1982," explains Twin Galaxies' Walter Day, editor of the record book, "and this is the first time an electronic gamer from the state of Maine has captured a world title on a major video game." Shawn Cram, a resident of South Lebanon, Maine, went to an arcade contest in New Hampshire last May 30th and broke the 18-year-old high score on Zoo Keeper, one of the more popular titles manufactured during the golden age of arcades (game published in 1982). Cram's new score of 21,849,650 points soundly eclipses the 20,063,920 points ach ieved by Jack Gale, a legendary video game player from Florida. Gale's 1985 acco mplishment was so widely acclaimed at that time that it even appeared in the 1986 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Mame News July 9, 2003 Hello Fellow gamers! I have added more Roms to my roms site! There will be more to come! I have also found a cool cabinet. I dont know if you have heard, but X-Gaming has come out with there very own version of a cool game cabinet called X-Arcade. I have put links on my site so you can check it out! This cabinet is so cool. There is lots of ways for you to hook up all your games in one cabinet. I havent seen one up close in person as of yet but it looks pretty nice on the web. Mame News July 12, 2003 Good afternoon gamers! I have added some cool stuff to my site. I added a forum where you can discuss about MAME and different games old games, new games ect. I have also added a link where you can get the latest version of MAME32v71b! I dont see any difference in the other version but there must be. If any of you have it let me know.
