| Last night I had a dream so clear about a long lost day, We were back together, I begged of you to stay, You slowly turned and took my hand, your smile was mine alone, Then you said you had to go, you had another home, The pain rolled in, the tears began, I longed for yesterday, You held me close and whispered soft, "THERE`S MORE I NEEDED TO SAY" "MUM" you know I love you, I haven`t gone away, What we shared together will forever stay, You`ll always be "MY MUM" and I will always be "YOUR SON" We`ll be back together when your time on earth is done, But for now we must live seperate and apart, Though I will never leave you deep inside my heart, Look for me in the morning, and in the noon day`s sun, You`ll find me in the starry night when the day is done, I`ll always be beside you each and every day, For all of your tomorrows this is were I`ll stay, When you wake up from this dream, do not feel alone, For we are still together tho we have seperate homes. Suddenly the dream was over, my son had gone away, Though my heart was broken, I knew he could not stay, But I`ll look for him in the morning and thru out the day, And when the evening comes to call I`ll look for him to say, "MUM" you know I love you, I havent gone away, What we shared together will forever stay. |
