Philip Rivers has meant a great deal to NC State University, not only with his performance on the field, but also with his character and leadership.  Philip never seems to sulk or become discouraged.  Frustration is channeled into desire to improve.

Olin Hannum was the star of the scrimmage.  Not because he played better than Rivers, but because he played at the same level.  Fans have been worried about the vulnerability of depending so much on Rivers, and Hannums performance on April 7th gave some assurance that the offensive system will be potent with Hannum under center.  As a champion radio competitor, Olin is known for his toughness.

During the halftime break, players enjoyed a rest in front of the field house.  The players pictured here appear to be (clockwise from top left) Chance Moyer, Andy VanDerVeer, K.J. Stone, Brian Eastland and Jeremy Mebane.
