| Freshman linebackers Avery Gibson and Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay will spend a year studying under the best, Levar Fisher. Fisher said recently that Gibson is better now than he (Levar) was as a freshman. Aughtry-Lindsay doesn't plan on staying on the sidelines either. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This year's recruiting class of linebackers featured standouts from south Florida and Alabama. However, Roger Pollard and Corrie Dawson want to show that last year included two very good linebackers from those same regions. Pollard saw action as a true freshman, has added some muscle, and power-cleaned 315 lb. Pollard should be the first linebacker off the bench, while Dawson will try to hold off the freshmen for playing time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
