Mike's Tree Service
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.   I Corinthians 3:7
Quality, Value, Safety, Integrity
Tree Planting
Mike's Tree Service does not just cut down trees !
I also plant them.

When somebody asks me what kind of tree they should plant,
I need to know about the location.
There is 3 main considerations :

SPACE  Is there enough room for the tree to grow and reach its normal mature size?

Consider above ground restrictions (including powerlines and structures) as well as below ground barriers (including foundations and walks).

If a tree becomes too big for its location and must be removed - it is a waste and a shame.  Repeated trimming is not a solution because its simply not practical and doesn't look right.

If you just have a small space, plant a flowering shrub, don't plant a maple tree.

How much direct
SUNLIGHT does the location receive?
Some trees will do OK in shady spots and some will not.

The type of
SOIL plays a big part in the selecting the appropriate species of tree.  Probably most important soil characteristic is drainage.  Good drainage is almost always the most desireable.

If we have an area of poor drainage or poor soil where a tree is desired, selecting the most appropriate species is critical for long term success.

A crab apple tree I planted in a
front yard in Utica.  Spring 2006.
We have quite a few options for trees in the Mohawk Valley.
