Thanks for the Pancakes and the Ride to Denver
We stopped at this truck stop and we saw this hitchhiker. He looked like he was lost but looked safe so we picked him up, feed him and drove him to Boulder. He told us about the hanging lake in Colorado. So after we dropped him off we checked out the lake. We got there and it was raining large. Since it was off the track and raining and the 1st thing in the morning we didn't do the climb. We grabbed some rocks and searched for the morning coffee.
On the map there is a dot labeled the 'Geographical Center of North America'. We drove there and found this lake. No name that we could find for the lake. Just a very small lake. The photo makes it look big. It's not. Sometimes we end up in not too interesting places.
Luna New Mexico fuel and supply stop
On our 1st trip, our 1st stop was a place called Peebles, Ohio. There is a large, ancient, man-made formation of a snake.
After a couple of days of driving we came around the corner of Hoover Dam and we saw Lake Mead. We saw the beach and looked at each other and we headed for a much needed dip. We usually stopped at rest stops to washup on the trip and seeing a beach was too much to pass up.
