This site will chronicle our boating trip from Havre de Grace, MD as we travel down the east coast of the United States to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas, and then back up the coast to the Canadian Canal system. |

Well, at least that’s the plan as of September, 2003 ! Lisa and I had fantasized about this type of an extended boating trip for several years. Actually, I did more of the dreaming and talking about it, never really believing that it would ever happen. Then, about a year ago, Lisa basically turned to me and said: “If we’re going to do this trip, then next year is the time to do it.” Well, now I have to ‘put up or shut up” as the saying goes. This was our first extented ( more than 3 or 4day) trip with our children. We had decided that we would consider a trip of any more than 1 week tobe a success! Well, it was a success and then some. We would not have made this trip if it were notfor the encouragement and
support of Mark and Susanne Richter
of Winniethe Pooh who helped
tremendously in preparingfor this trip. Also, fellow TrawlerWorld listees Herb Hoffman
("My Time"), Dennis and Ester Bruckel ("Sadie B") and Ken
McQuage ( "Mrs. Hudson") were very helpful during our trip
