Raymund Ramolete was a mechanic in his own right. He managed operations for a car shop in Visayas Avenue since 1996. He made sure clients would come back, for body repair or just for plain, friendly conversation. And back the people went for more of his level-headed service. He met people like Perfecto Romero and Mike Tejero, among others, who were first-time customers then. Soon the two other guys Raymund met would often pass by the shop, not for repairs, but pure car talk. Later on, they have become the best of friends and nothing seem to come between them. Raymund's plan of putting up his own car shop slowly came in mind. So he'd save every last centavo he earned from his employer. Until mid 2000, he had left his employer in search for "greener pastures", an asphalted driveway was more than appropriate. He had put up his very own business in a small driveway he has been renting. Business seemed to be picking up, and the small driveway wasn't big enough to accomodate the incoming cars waiting to be repaired. After a number of transfers from different places, he finally found the right place, enough to accomodate 6 cars all at once. Today, RAMM is in the heart of another "Banawe" in the making, auto supply shops mushrooming all over the place. A number of other car shops have emerged. "Nothing we can't handle" says Raymund. RAMM is located along Congressional Avenue, Quezon City. Near the corner of Mindanao and Congressional Avenues. From an initial idea of a car body repair shop, RAMM has evolved into a "tuner" shop, along side the original services, Raymund thought of offering a new service, customized performance tuning for cars of any model and make. From body painting to engine modification and race prepping to suspension tweaking, a trump card other car shops in the area didn't have. Raymund has his hands full customizing 4 cars, A Mitsubishi Galant GTi, Lancer GLX , a Toyota Starlet, a Honda Civic hatchback, and the latest addition to the gargage, a Toyota Corolla.
