JAIME ROTH!!
The young budding star of the Grand Isle had what many considered to be a break out last month and a definite breakout match at NiNO as he ousted Shane Destiny out of the company in what many felt was one of the best matches seen in the rings of the Grand Isle ever! By far, in this reporters opinion, as far as workrate and juniorheavy styles of wrestling go, it was far and away the best match of that type EVER seen in the GIW. But what now for the still green but learning quick fan favorite? Look for him to perhaps go after some bigger fish in terms of size and stature.. to see if he is really ready to make the big impact we here at the GIW feel he will make in due time.

Dimlight Wrestler of the Month

By: Jacob Rodgers
Well, the dimlight award goes to all those wrestlers cut from the Grand Isle following NiNO.. obviously excluding Shane Destiny and Russ Brady who have left on other terms. High hopes were all presented towards the signings of Lucas McCall, Dave Bryant, Jake Cutler, and Phoenix Stevens, but like in every business sometimes things just don't pan out. For these four wrestlers.. they just didn't show the heart or desire to become successful and we hope that maybe somewhere these boys can find their niche so they can feed their families. Afterall, famine is a bitch.

Wrestler News and Rumors

By: Jacob Rodgers
-Heavyweight Champ "Bad Eye" McBaine,, fresh off a brutal title defense at NiNO.. has been recovering at home wherever that may actually be. His condition is unknown as of today but we are told a full update on his condition will be presented on the upcoming television broadcast.. but he is definitely scratched to appear live at the event, sorry fans!
-Many in the company feel that Rembraandt could not have defeated City Jack if both men were at 100%.. but I for one would rather not get the opinion of Rembrandt personally. Only time will tell if Remmy has the ability and toughness he seems to exude to make himself not only a great.. but credible Television champion.
-Speaking of Jack, he too will not apppear on our next television broadcast as he is also nursing a nagging arm injury that the GIW office feels he needs to heal before returning to duty. More details will be given on the show itself, but initial reports indicate him out at least 2-4 weeks.
-Coming off a hard fought and impresssive victory over the monster Pegasus, Leviticus Nelson has been hinting to executives he's got his sights set on somebody that nobody expects! with Nelson getting edgier and edgier in the past months, nobody in the company has been able to make a logical guess who his target may very well end up being. All we know for sure is, whoever it is? Might as well write up their obituary ahead of time.
-To this day, one of the hottest topiics has been why Otto Verhoeven, the legendary Butcher, has returned to wrestling and to the Grand Isle in general.. and why has he set his sights on Bobby Taylor? I spoke with Otto earlier in the week and he assured me the cat will be let out of the bag on the television broadcast next week! I for one cannot wait to hear whatever the reason will be! And, really, does it matter to me?! OTTO IS BACK!!
-"The Outlaw" Bobby Taylor has gone hhellbent through the GIW offices the days following NiNO demanding answers from the front office, of which they and we have none. We are as stumped as Taylor, although the attack by Otto has definitely frustrated the usually cool and calculating Outlaw. Nevertheless, expect him to be ready for whatever Otto throws at him here on out.
-"Classy" Kendrick Lane is rumored too be upset with the apathy towards which the front office has pushed him as of late, and I, for one, actually agree with him this time. Coming up on this next show, although for the tag titles, will be the fifth different partner for Kendrick in nearly as many shows. He's far too talented and the fans hate him far too much to be stuck in neutral like this, so expect to see him pushed higher up the cards soon enough as a legitimate singles competitor.
-"Violator" Bobby Ray Wilkins has repportedly nearly gone off the deep end since the return of Doyle Woodall.. citing to one official that he believed he may have seen a ghost in New Orleans. Is that true? We don't know, but we don't put it past the unusual coward from Texas.
-Robert Kellan and Harisoto Mashima, our esteemed tag team champions, came off huge singles victories against Lucas McCall and Jake Culter respectively.. and now look to focus more on their short but sturdy reign as tag champions so far. They've been challenging the front office to push the division for what it is worth.. so expect to see some high profile singles competitors tag together to give the youthful duo a run for their money at every defense.
-"Dirty" Doyle Woodall made a big retturn during the aforementioned BRW challenge at NiNO, and the fans ate it up with a spoon! A big-time original fan favorite and no nonsense blue collar worker, the fans of GIW appreciate and understand Doyle and respect him.. and we here are absolutely stoked he recovered from his injuries enough to return to work. I'd hate to be BRW anytime soon.
-As reported in the newsletter, Pegassus was livid about letting his match with Leviticus Nelson slip through his fingers and he's gone on record saying that all in the Grand Isle will feel his wrath and retribution.. starting on the next television show! Idle threats or forecasting true pain? Only time will tell!
-The Scrayper continues to impress thhe suits and the masses with his completely twisted aerial and hardcore assault and eerie demeanor on and off the mic. Many are considering as perhaps the next big thing in the junior heavyweight divisions worldwide and a throwback to the day of true daredevils flyers like now retired Simon Ezra. With what apparently looks like a program with Harisoto Mashima on the horizon.. can the Scrayper capitalize and rise to fame.. or will he simply flame out this cycle? I, for one, think he'll be as big as the hype thrown before him!
-"Dynasty" Dane Levine has grown niceely over the past two months according to inside sources in the Grand Isle. At first many felt he tried too hard on the mic to elicite the booes and is just now settling into his niche and role in the company.. but with Phoenix Stevens being fired it appears this man is without a target. With the rumored influx of talent coming [see down below], I think he'll have ample new bodies to exploit and torture for his own good.
-The Deathdealer" Tommy Ganz has reallly impressed the suits as well with his hard and determined work ethic, his crisp wrestling style, and his charismatic looks and mic-work. A continuing program with Kendrick Lane is just what he needs to continue to build on his early progress.
-It was no "angle" that Parker actuallly showed up looking for a match and got one on the spot.. rumor has it the opponent for Scrayper was supposed to be a big name from a rival company but when contract disputes feel through the night before NiNO, the front office was ready to nix the Scrayper match altogether, until their savior in tights came to them the night of the show in the form of Jamison Parker. Although brand new and right out of training.. that one deed has put him in good light with the company, which can only mean good things for the youngster!
-The other big rumor has been the repported influx of major talent from across the globe as the front office continues to hint on quite a number of new faces appearing in the GIW within the coming weeks. With Randall Crane, Corey Irons, and Otto Verhoeven scheduled to debut in ring any time now.. and with Woodall returning.. the company has still hinted more are to come! So fans, strap yourselves in, because GIW is going for a ride!

"What Are We, Sick?"
By: Rev. James Williamson
Grand Isle Wrestling, be gone!
As a proud father and community leader, I find it sickening that GIPA 68 can air such filth when they know that children are watching
TV at this hour. Their latest offering, if I can call it an offering - more like a force feeding, went beyond any normal sort of
"entertainment" that a person should watch. Are children supposed to watch two grown men throw each other around into barbed wire, glass, and
lightbulbs? Are children supposed to find that as valuable "entertainment"? Do they not know that these children will repeat what they see on TV?
What kind of society do we expect to have with flith like this jamming up our TV? The good citizens of New Orleans have spoken, they have taken the voice of God and demanded that GIW never be allowed in their city limits again. The good people of New Orleans know when the face of sin rears its ugly head that they should fight back in the name of Jesus!
We must organize! We must show the folks of GIW what God-fearing men and women are capable of, this letter is going not only going out to the thousands and thousands of your fellow Bible followers, but to the pits of hell in Grand Isle itself! Let them know that I speak for us all that when I say "No more!" our voices will echo off of that tin shed they call a home and with the voice of God will ring out into the hearts and thoughts of all the good people of this world.
End this horror now GIW.
