Halloween at our house this
year (1998)
was mostly for the grandkids, their
friends and new friends... we decorated
the carport
with a big orange tarp
and set up some spooky props.
The coffin is becoming a bit delapidated
with repeated use each year
but still served as a fine platform
for our
collection of monster heads, a
Jack-O-Lantern
and a well relaxed skeleton.
Dry ice fog provided a haunting
atmosphere
among the abundent cobwebs.
The centerpiece was the 80 lb pumpkin
that I carved and then put a
strobelight inside with crumpled
red celophane to make a great effect.
A
commercially purchased laughing
skull
with flashing red eyes drew some
of
the more eager attention pf the
children
and adults alike... dripping candles,
a bear skull, spiders, and black
and orange balloons rounded out
the
presention while a tape of eerie
music
played in the background. A small
party this year but lots of fun...
