Laguna Lorie is a central character in the role playing game; Final Fantasy 8. He is introduces into the Story mid way through the first disk (of an 4 disk game).
The connection between Laguna and the larger group of Squall, Selphie, Zack, Seipher, Rhiona and Quistis is uncertain. The fabric of time and consciousness seems to be sometimes upset and those with Squall, when this happens, see Laguna and his comrades as a dream. Laguna is able to equip the former parties G.F or exchange magic but otherwise there is no communication. When Laguna first appears his trio must battle strange caterpillar creatures and other jungle monsters before heading to Deling City. Here Laguna spends time with Raine, the lady of his dreams.
18/04/04 -update; Elone has departed on a strange ship, and now it seems everybody is looking for her. What connection does she have with the sorceress and is she really the one causing the dreams?
