The thinking and method employed for quadrature of the circle.
Draw a line across a page, then open the compass and draw a circle
at the midway point. Move the compass to x + r and draw a second and continue to x + 2r and then to x - 2r.
Draw a line from 0,0 through the point of circle intersection and below, so forming the y axis. The circle
drawing process is again performed along the y axis. Then, draw lines through the points of circle intersection,
so forming a
grid. A grid with the sides of the squares of equal length, regardless of the opening of the compass, the radius
of the circle.
π is a
transcendental number. using a computer is the only way to obtain the accuracy required.
