RASSPY: What It Is, How to Use
Rasspy

Part 1: What is
it?
Part 2: How to Use Rasspy
Part 1:
Rasspy Is labeled a Password Recovery Spy. In Non Technical Terms, Rasspy reads the encrypted user name and Password utilized by, for example, FISP's (Free Internet Service Providers)
Example. Let's say you have an
account with a FISP under the user name joedokes with a
password of joeiscool.
To connect, you would insure that joedokes is in the username field,
and joeiscool is in the password field.
However, if you tried to bypass
the FSIP's Banner Bar software and connect directly using joedokes as the
username and joeiscool as the password, it wouldn't work.
That's because the FISP Server (the computer you're connecting
to) has a particular "method" it wants to
"read" the information.
On the username, it may look something like this 202joedokes#freestuff.com where freestuff.com would be the name of the FISP, and in this example, 202 is the version of the banner bar software.
There are many combinations unique to each FISP.
The password is generally encrypted, or changed to a non patternable code. So in this example, the password joeiscool might look something like this: eXc44R5z4W&
This "changing" of the username and password is done by the banner bar software, so it can "talk" to the FISP Server.
This is where RASSPY comes in. RASSPY "Reads" the code as the banner bar software starts to attempt to link up with the FISP server.
Part 2: How to Use Rasspy
After you paste the Target Path using NIFTY (see main help for details) and hit ENTER, RASSPY "front loads" or runs first, then launchs the FISPs banner bar software you specified.
What will happen:
First you'll see a small, brown gif screen,
along with a little music (no idea why)
Then your FISP Start Screen will appear. If it doesn't
autoconnect, click Connect.
A screen like the one below will appear:

The Phonebook field will show the Dial Up
Network (DUN) the FISP installed.
The Phone# is the one used to connect to the FISP Server
The Username field contains the username that the FISP server
"recognizes" as correct, assuming you have an account
with the FISP.
The Password field shows your password the FISP banner bar
software encrypted.
Tips & Tricks:
On some FISP software, the Rasspy screen will be behind the FISP Startup screen. As Rasspy integrates with the FISP software, you will only see one program listed on your taskbar. Right clicking on that taskbar "slot" and selecting Move will help to bring the Rasspy screen to the front.
The "OK" Bar (See above graphic) on the Rasspy screen will terminate the program. However, depending on the FISP software, clicking on the "X" at the top right of the Rasspy screen is at times more efficient.
Cancel and Terminate, do not Connect with the FISP after running Rasspy. Be patient. It may take a few seconds before this procedure can be effected.
Final Note:
Creating a new Dial up Network (DUN) Icon, and either cutting and pasting or entering the username and password given by Rasspy in said DUN to eliminate the banner bar software violates the TOS (Terms of Service) with your FISP.
