Southlake DPS (Department of Public Safety)

This project is in Southlake, TX. It serves as a fire station and police station for the city of Southlake. It has four fire truck bays, administration offices, training rooms, exercise rooms a kitchen and lounge as well as a temporary jail encompassing secured cells.

Here you can see the four fire truck bays as well as service areas to the right of the bays. In the background you can see the private development where surface water containment was extremely sensitive both during construction as well as after completion.

Here you can see the administration building. Notice the protected live oak tree in the foreground. Much effort went into protecting the tree from construction related activities. Also notice the the approach from the highway at the bottom of the picture. This was a state highway and therefore required separate permitting and inspections from TXDOT.
