The alarm clock beeped loudly in Nikkis ear, another long day at work she thought ,Nikki is about 5 feet 4 tall and has long brown hair she is a size 10 and very slim. She got up and put on a short black dress and a pair of silky tights She had breakfast and put on her fur coat for her feet she choose a pair of black high heeled shoes with a rounded toe and chunky 2inch heel she didn,t like driving in her heels so she carried them to her car and drove bare foot.
Nikki arrived at the railway station and slipped on her heels, she walked to the platform, it was a cold morning with a heavy frost. Both her shoes were a tiny bit too big especially her left which slipped a little ,she had been bought them as a present by her boy friend, they were expensive and looked good and trendy she thought.
Nikki got on the train at sat by the door. She crossed her legs and dangled her left shoe a little. The trip took half an hour and Nikki often dozed off. Today she must have wished she hadn,t. The train door opened and closed quite a few times with people getting on and off. Nikki was sound asleep, a big guy with a brief case got up and walked towards the door Nikkis left shoe was hanging off her foot and as the guy opened the train door his brief case caught her court shoe and knock it off her silky tight clad foot, the guy got off the train and went about his business unaware of what had happened, unfortunately for Nikki her shoe had fell out of the open train door and down between the the train and the platform landing on the track bellow.
It was five or ten minutes later before Nikki woke up realising she was missing her shoe. She started looking for it but to no avail, frantically she asked some of the other passengers but nobody had seen what happened. Oh No she screemed Ive lost my shoe, embarrassment overwhelming her. She got off the train and looked around but there was no sign of her black 2inch heel anywhere, looking more upset than ever she hobbled off the platform wearing only her right shoe.
The walk to her office was one she we never forget, her lone heel clicking on the cold pavement Nikki had to walk past several shops, she gazed into one of the windows, it was a shoe shop, there were shoes everywhere but it was too early and the shop wasn,t open. She finally got to her office she sat at her desk and dangled her only shoe. Her tights were by now dirty and her left foot sore. Nikki had lost her shoes before and tried to keep her bare foot hidden as best she could.
By the end of the day she had been working hard and had worked through lunch, she realised it was too late to buy a new pair of shoes and so she set off for home barefoot. Nikki left her only shoe in her desk and walked to the station. Lots of people were looking at her and one girl who she didn,t know asked wheres your shoes luv- Nikki totally embarrassed said I lost my left shoe on the train this morning I had to work all day so I couldn,t get to a shoe shop I left my right heel in my desk,
So here I am in only my tights . The girl got on the train with nik and they chatted, the girl whose name was vicky explained that she to had lost a shoe a few months earlier on her way home, they were backless loafers , ive got three of them now two lefts and a right she said just in case I loose a left next time. As they went passed a station Vicky pointed to a shoe lying lonely owner less on the track, look another persons got a cold foot she laughed. Just then Nikki realised it was her missing shoe it looks perfectly wearable. She shouted getting off the train she ran to a member of staff still completely barefoot thats my shoe she shouted, the guy fished it up with a special grabber Nikki slipped it on and then she, looked in her bag for her other shoe, oh no I left my other heel at work she remembered, finally she hobbled to the other platform and had the embarrassment of walking home with one shoe again!
