This is a short hike around the tidepools and beaches of Corona del Mar.

We parked our car on the bluffs over the shore (free parking as opposed to the exorbitant rates charged at the beach). It was a short walk in onto the beach, and at 9 on a cloudy Sunday, it was already crowded.

We couldn't walk any further along the beach because the water was hitting the rocks. So we climbed up a short incline to an Inspiration Point and then back down to the next beach. There were a number of private beach accesses to this beach, and there were a few people getting ready for the day there.

We picked our way around the next rocky spit (turned out the tide was still high) to the next beach. There was a woman and her son playing in the sand and they were the only ones there. They must have come down one of the private beach accesses because we tried to get out another way and couldn't figure it out. Luckily the tide went out and we could scramble back out easily the way we came.
