In consideration of a payment of ............% of the value of any property found, the owner/occupier grants to the named searcher above, the right to enter the farm or land mentioned above, subject to crop conditions, and and to search for Treasure, metals, and buried coin and artefacts, subject to the Code of Conduct and conditions mentioned below.
The Searcher hereby warrants that he will:.. Never Trespass.
Make an agreement on sharing finds with the landowner to avoid later misunderstanding
Report all finds to the landowner,including those that must be declared to the Coroner
Close all gates, never walk through standing crops, and not startle animals or nesting birds
Fill in ALL holes regardless of wether land or beach. Never leave a mess or damage grass.
Dispose of unwanted finds, rubbish and scrap properly, and will never leave junk on site
Never detect on scheduled archaeological sites, without permission of the Owner/occupier and Secretary of State for National Heritage
After discussion with the landowner. Report ALL Gold and Silver artefacts over 300 yrs old to the local Coroner or the Police. Also any Hoards of coins or plate
Mark and report all Bombs, mines, ammunition or chemical container sites to the Landowner and police.
The Searcher will indemnify the owner/occupier against all actions or proceedings, costs, charges, claims and demands whatsoever which may be made or brought against the owner/occupier by any third party in connection with this permit.
The value of any objects found will be determined by agreement between the two parties named here, or by sale for the highest available price, or by appraisal by at least two independant experts, jointly selected.
