|
The Van der Merwe family joined the Kathorus Bible Church in January of 2006. They were originally members of Community Bible Church in Leondale. Marie trained both Bernice and Kirsten in Bible Club. On January 10, 2007, Hennie went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. He will be missed.

Current Prayer Requests:
1) Bernice and Kirsten are involved with childrens ministries. Please pray for their teaching. Bernice teaches Sunday school. Kirsten teaches a Saturday Club along with Lungile. Bernice teaches devotions in two primary schools in Katlehong.
2) Bernice disciples Nomsa on Sunday afternoons and Martha on Wednesday mornings.
3) Kirsten's home schooling
4) Bernice's car was recently stolen. She is currently looking for a new car and for a job.

Bernice and grandson. Bernice also continues to faithully serve the Lord. It's been a hard year so far for the van der Merwe family, but the Lord has been faithful and is developing them and drawing very near. This blessing came a few weeks after Hennie's death. |
