Joseph L. Bisaillon, 79, of New Bedford died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at New Bedford Health Care. He was the widower of Pauline M. (Cote) Bisaillon. Born in Darthmouth, the son of the late Damina and Melina (Fournier) Bisaillon, he moved to Quebec, Canada, at the age of 5. He moved to New Bedford at 26, where he resided since. Mr. Bisaillon was a foreman for Alden Corrugated Container Corp. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1978. He served in the Canadian Army during World War II. Mr. Bisaillon enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with family. He was a former member of the Franco-American Club. Survivors include a son, Steve R. Bisaillon and his wife, Theresa, of New Bedford; a daughter Lynn M. Taylor, and her husband, Martin, of Lakeville; a sister Theresa Pelletier of Austin, Quebec; three grandsons, John and Peter Mello of New Bedford and Corey Mello of Boston; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Brooklawn Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Court. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.

     PIGEON - In this city, Jan. 11, 1998 Omer E. Sr. widower of Emerentienne (Bisaillon) Pigeon of New Bedford, aged 89 yrs. Funeral from the CHAUSSE-DUMONT FUNERAL HOME, 1325 Acushnet Ave. Wednesday at 8 a.m. Funeral from St. Francis Xavier Church at 9:00. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Calling hrs. Tuesday 2-4 -- 7-9. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Francis Xavier St. Vincent de Paul Society or New Bedford Guild for the Blind.

     Sylvia M. Bisaillon, 45, of New Bedford died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital of natural causes. Born in Acushnet, daughter of Joseph L. Bisaillon of New Bedford and the late Pauline (Cote) Bisaillon, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life. Ms. Bisaillon was a graduate of the Peninsula Community College in Port Angeles, Wash., and the New England Technical Institute. A self-employed computer programmer for the past nine years, Ms. Bisaillon also had worked as a waitress at Muldoon's in Taunton. Ms. Bisaillon, a volunteer for Hands Across the River, was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include her father; three sons, Corey M. Mello, Peter F. Mello and John L. Mello, all of New Bedford; a brother, Steve R. Bisaillon, and sister, Lynn M. Taylor, both of New Bedford; and her maternal grandmother, Claudia Cote of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. She was also the sister of the late Ronald L. Bisaillon. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Brooklawn Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Court, New Bedford.
